To all TV freaks out here

Now that most of the shows on television are winding down, what's new to look forward to till the Fall season 2009?

Can you give me recommendations?

notoldschool 05-25-2009 09:48 AM

One of my friends won the second season of Big Brother.

The new season of Entourage starts in July.

Here are some others I like that might be of interest:

Dexter
Breaking Bad
True Blood
Stargate SG1
Stargate Atlantis

there is nothing. it sucks.

Criminal Minds and L&O: SVU are the only two shows I watch on a regular basis these days.

Well...Two and a Half Men occasionally.

The rest (to me) is pablum.

TV in general sucks. I have around 200 channels, and most night i can't find anything worth watching...

Reminds me of a Bruce Springsteen song.

I watch a lot of documentary and science shows. "Life After People" on the History Channel is one of my favorite shows, as is "How The Earth Was Made". Both of those have run their course of new episodes I believe at this point, but you can catch re-runs probably. There is also a special on History tonight at nine pm called "The Link", about the discovery of a rare fossil off a 47 million year old ancestor of apes and humans.

I liked Brotherhood.. But it's a bit slow and tedious.. However they do good with the shock and awe.

I have only seen the first 4 seasons of that and have to wait for the next one to come out here.

Its about the only time that we watch tv.

But have 15 full seasons between the two of them. Anyone who likes Scifi and needs something to watch because it's summer and all the shows are on hiatus will have plenty to keep the busy :winkwink:

depends. I haven't watched network TV on a regular basis in over a decade. In fact I hardly watch any TV at all anymore. Even on the internet. I get much more value form the money I spend on the internet than I do on cable. If it was just me in the household I probably wouldn't even bother with cable.

I saw the first season and enjoyed it. Definitely slow though.

Right now the only thing I'm watching that is still running is Rescue Me. The first few seasons were awesome... it's been very hit or miss the past couple. I used to watch it and die laughing... it isn't near as funny anymore. Too serious.

Dexter is ok. Most of the other good shows have ended.

CaptainHowdy 05-26-2009 07:37 AM

I used to watch HEROES but Season 2 was a dissapointment for me... HOUSE M.D. still rocks.

MikeSmoke 05-26-2009 04:15 PM

Burn Notice, Entourage, The Closer, Monk, Psych and Dexter have new seasons starting this summer on cable; and if you're into this sort of thing, there's a new season of Kitchen Nightmares as well on Fox.
