Mirroring multiple Mac's ??

Mac people - serious question.

Multiple Mac's - remote locations - need them to be all identical.
Anyone know of a good mirroring setup that can keep them all in sync together 100%?

My girlfriend runs a mobile Mac lab for Cornell University. She said that it's possible, but would require running OSX server...which would allow you to admin and push updates to the remote boxes.

Really so she has seen this done before? I'm interested. Any further info - contacts?

ChronoSync is good for keeping files in sync.

Keeping application settings (basically anything in Library) in sync between multiple machines isn't really possible, no matter what you use. The best you can hope for there is something like MobileMe for specific apps.

That's the problem - I do not want to use MobileMe - need a totally secure type of setup

most likely need mac os x server in the mix. couple options with mobile syncing (not mobile me.) your home folders then or if you BW is good using network home folders.

It's going to require a server in the mix regardless though to keep track of things.
