Alex Xe 06-02-2009 01:04 AM

strange to see Mzima as a brand carrier, it is very new player with small network.

TidalWave 06-02-2009 01:18 AM

I think your mistaken there buddy... Mzima is not that new, and has an extensive network full of peering with local ISPs. They are a favorite with the Gaming Server Provider because of the low latency (low pings) they have become famous for.

leg4 06-02-2009 02:43 AM

How many people here on GFY use Pacific Rack as their host?

Thank you.

Hm, that strange, because everybody know them as a low cost carrier. It is only one in USA carrier, how is sell bandwidth below even Cogent prices. They have a very small network if compare with everebody else in your list :)

LoveSandra 06-02-2009 03:32 AM

nice shit

Yes you are correct sir they are as low as it gets in the bandwidth world.

raymor 06-02-2009 10:04 AM

Actually, it's more around 30 than 45-60.

No its not. 30Mbps is the THEORETICAL amount based on 320GB per 1Mbps.
In REAL WORLD USAGE, you will NOT get 320GB out of 1Mbps unless you some how "MAGICALLY" push 1Mbps 24/7 for the entire month without ONCE going below 1Mbps.
If your traffic has peaks and drops, like I guarantee it does (day time and night time for example), you will not get 320GB out of 1Mbps.
The average real world usage figures are about 150-220GB (again depending on each servers individually specific traffic patterns) per 1Mbps.
So, 10,000GB divided by 220GB = 45Mbps.

The less GB's you get out of each 1Mbps, the higher Mbps amount the 10,000GB will equate to. The only person that is bad for, is the host as they are giving you more Mbps for the same amount of transfer (10TB).

There's no catch. Its cheap because we can do it this cheap and still profit enough for it to be a viable business plan.

I also want to note that we are SOLD OUT of the Q9300 and X3350 Quad Core servers at the moment until we receive our next shipment.

Thank you guys for all the interest! I'll re-bump when they're back in stock.
