Domain auction @ Cybernet Expo

GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE, SOLD TO ...

HOLLYWOOD, Florida ? SeizeTheDomain.com announced that it will be the exclusive auction provider at Cybernet Expo.

Brought to you by Ynot.com's very own Connor Young and LAJ, Cybernet Expo which takes place June 25-27 is in its 12th year and will once again be held at San Francisco's Golden Gateway hotel. Cybernet Expo features seminars on operating websites, marketing presentations, networking opportunities and their popular Show & Sell Marketplace. Connor and Jay wanted to expand on the Marketplace, by introducing the domain auction which should serve as a added benefit for every webmaster.

?With Moniker only at the interNEXT, and Rick Latona Auctions deciding to withdraw from future adult events, we felt that now would be a great time for us to introduce our own auction platform", stated company president Alex Richards. "It's a major opportunity for our company, and we're going to seize upon it."

The online auction will be found at seizethedomain.com/cybernet and will be open for bidding Wednesday June 24th through Wednesday June 30th.

Seize The Domain is sensitive to the impact this recession is having on your business. For a limited time, we/they are offering a special stimulus package designed for your needs. Absolutely nobody in the industry offers a better deal. They call it the "ZERO EXCUSE EVENT".

0 % financing*
0-36 months payment plan
No Credit Applications
No Credit Checks

and a 1 YEAR SATISFACTION GUARANTEE.**

There is no better time to buy than now. Most .com domains will be in the $ xxx - xxxx range.

*0% financing available on most but not all domain purchases. Check the domain online to see if it qualifies. **If you are not satisfied with your domain purchase, trade it in within 12 months of purchase for full credit, to be applied towards the purchase of another domain from our inventory.

Seize The Domain is currently seeking domains, hosting, content, traffic and more to be auctioned. "Please provide us details of your product or service with the suggested retail value along with your absolute lowest reserve price. Because of the amount of domain name submissions we anticipate receiving, we ask that you send us your best 20 domains and your reserve price." says Alex Richards. Email [email protected] to make a submission. Deadline for all submissions is June 12, 2009. A complete auction catalog will be released a week prior to the auction.

For more information about the upcoming tradeshow visit CybernetExpo.com

"99% of domains featured will be under $1500"

that sounds like a shitty deal

good luck

The majority of webmasters cant afford the typical reserve prices of $5k+ that you'll often find at the auctions.

alias 06-02-2009 04:35 PM

Is the domain: PornCorporation.com worth anything? any experts opinion? I am just curious.

Those webmasters can make it to the show though :) and blow money on booze and other sorts of partying too I bet. It's also probably not worth your own time/effort. Spend all that energy to sell low cost domains which leads to low profits. You should reconsider this strategy. slav is one smart dude.

LAJ 06-02-2009 10:31 PM

Always naysayers in the bunch...

Alex we are thrilled to have you on board with this at Cybernet Expo!

And for those who haven't decided yet if they are going or not... flight, plus expenses, plus badge, plus a shared hotel room at our show can all be done for under $1000.

All booze and parties are sponsored (thank you D$, Kink.com, X-Digg, Rackco and HD Pays).

chr0nic 06-02-2009 10:47 PM

eh?

Take a look at the last auction Rick Latona ran at an adult show. Not nearly enough interest in high dollar domains at this time -- although they are still moving. He'll have much better success with domains in the $5k and under range, provided they're half decent.

Not to mention there's hardly any overhead running an auction.

Jack Sparrow 06-03-2009 12:27 AM

Hmm sounds interesting indeed.
To bad i already send mine in for that other auction, and im not sure if i can cancel those, and try on this one first.

aha yes. All is well. I RARELY .. (actually, never) read boards anymore. Too busy steam rolling ahead with many different projects. Right now I've been doing a lot with our domains/traffic. Gonna try to jump on here every once in a while and see what's current though, moving forward. But I highly doubt you'll ever see 10k posts next to my sig. ehe.

How you been? What have you been up to these days?

StaceyJo 06-03-2009 05:54 AM

Nice opportunity to others.

Beware advice from competitors who say you should change your business model... ;)

This is why we're pleased to have Seize the Domain at Cybernet. They get it. Smart businesses have to react to the market, and while there's still a market for high priced domains it's not what it once was. Not to mention, there are plenty of people serving what market there IS in that space. So good luck with the expensive domain names, and I'm not saying that sarcastically. Seriously, good luck. But I'm glad someone is covering the market for moderately-priced and bargain domains as well.

Mr. Frisky,

I encourage everyone to use as many outlets as possible. In the end, its your domain, and you have to use all the resources available to you to get the end result ...DOMAIN SOLD.

Consider submitting your domains for the Cybernet Auction as well. Our auction dates dont cross over/conflict with Moniker's.

SeizeTheDomain 06-03-2009 10:27 PM

Hi Bari, are you still my AE? Tell Monte he doesnt have to worry about us. Moniker paved the way, and all of us domainers thank you all for that. We are like the fish swimming in the current closely behind the bigger fish. :)

Thumblord, lets chat. Everything is possible, if given enough time to work out the game plan. We can set something up to pitch a network for sale. For the right price, Im ready to list my own mother.

Most auction companies include non-compete clauses in their agreements. Typically 30-90 days after the auction ends, so the exposure they bring to your domains don't result in a sale where someone else profits.

That's awesome Alex!

STOKED!!

SeizeTheDomain 06-05-2009 12:34 PM

**** Friendly reminder****

Please submit your net $ reserve with your best 20 domains you are submitting. We are getting overhwhelmed with emails and many dont have it included.

Also I dont appraise domain names. Doing so IMHO can create a conflict of interest and puts us in a gray area, we dont want to find ourselves.

Submission deadline in June 12th.

borked 06-05-2009 12:58 PM

what's the seller's fee?

Bama 06-05-2009 01:53 PM

I sent you this list to see if you were interested in adding them to the auction.

well i know a couple of the guys i have spoken with have told me they had names listed on the site that had bids higher than the reserve prices so some did get sold at least technically

would be a shame if this was just a way to scam money (not saying it is just would be a shame if it was) though as right now i have chatted with 4 people and non of them have heard anything about this auctions results if the names they had listed sold or not
