link exchange vs banner exchange

Cheers you all out there!
Today I've decided to write about something interesting for most of us...I guess...
As the title shows is all about link exchange vs banner exchange.
The statistics shows that banners converts more then links so I'll try to be more explicit about.
The user psychology is not complicated. Every banner is a preview ( in theory ) of the content of the site he's just about to enter. The best the banners are designed, the more clicks they will get.
A link doesn't provide you a visual information and the text is not always the best way to promote something.
For example just think about this:

What are you most tented to click, this banner :

or this link:

?

I'm sure your choice is the banner.
Now : If you have a site only with links, If you'll use a banner, the most traffic you'll send through this banner.

If you have a site with banners, and you'll insert a link it doesn't earn much attention from the users.

The migration from link to banner exchange:

If you want to switch from link exchange to banner exchange, DO NOT make it gradually.
Just design the new whole page / site and upload it in a final verion because otherwise the traffic you'll send to your affiliates will be chaotic and you won't be able to control it.

That's it for the moment, so if you have any other questions, write them here and I'll answer or contact me using my contact details.

all the best !
