If it takes off it could be cool. I've watched the whole vid, I like it, but some of the functionality seems a bit unnecessary, and more confusing then anything to the average user. But when it is open sourced and we get to really see how well it all works together it will be interesting. If it takes off, it could be the future of email literally. So I wouldn't call it useless...

ok very cool the only thing i is that it not for every one. just a way for teenagers to spend even more in a chat. I think it could be good for conference chats, but there are so many other tools that can take care of that.

Unfortunately, there is no migration path for people using POP/SMTP. I guess that's good from a security standpoint, but it just means one more inbox to check.

I believe google, will want you to use this exclusively, that is no e-mail, no chat, nothing but just wave for every method of communication online.
