How to turn off a house alarm without the disarm code?
 

A friend of mine just pushed our alarm button for some reason seeing if the damn thing worked after I told him it was broke (thats what we were told) and he armed the house and all the motion sensors. I rent this house and the owner lives in Mexico and we can't get a hold of her to get the access code.

We have called the Alarm company and police, both say there is nothing we can do until we get a hold of the owner. This could be days or even weeks until we can get a hold of her.

Some of you might think this is funny but if I even walk out of my home office the damn thing starts going off again. I'm screwed and kinda pissed off. I'm like trapped in my own pad right now.

Any advice? Anyone?

I have always weighed the pros and cons of renting vs. buying. This for sure goes on the cons list for renting.

Neighbors must be pissed.

Cover up the motion sensors is a start.

Break a window, and cut the phones. You're good to go.

Find the control box, usually its in a closet somewhere it will be plugged into the wall, plus have a built in battery backup. Unhook both.

Ok we got this fixed finally, had to unhook a few things but god damn I cant hear out my ears at all now, nothing but ringing.

mine works on cell signal and no way to unplug the battery... you have to break the unit.
