Yeah and even when you click them, it just embeds the full size vid into the search page. You have to try really hard to get to the originating site.

This is going to be problematic

Yep, old news...

You now need DMCA them aswell.

And... Even if you have the video removed from the tube site, they still play on bing!

Snake Doctor 06-05-2009 03:01 PM

Actually I was mistaken. I checked my own site using site:domain.com on the bing video search, and it does preview the vids on the little thumbnails, but when you click, it makes you go to the site to watch the actual video.

It's a long process that's a pain in the ass, but at least it's not like yahoo video search that was just basically hotlinking all my mpegs from galleries without even a link to the page they came from.

If you use the zoom feature of IE to zoom in on the video search results, you just mouseover and you basically get all the porn you need, in 'tube size', not thumbnail size.

Hmmm, I'll have to investigate further when the yungunns aren't around.

I definitely want traffic from people searching for "niche+video" on bing, but if they never see my ads, then that's gonna suck a little bit.

i just opened up a fresh box of kleenex and beating off all weekend

mynameisjim 06-05-2009 03:09 PM

I think it only plays a loop of about 30 seconds or so in thumbnail form.

Actually, if the videos stayed on Bing it would really hurt the tube sites most. The videos are already out there so the damage to paysites is already done.

RayBonga 06-05-2009 03:11 PM

thumbnail plays but I get taken to my sites if I want to watch it full size

mynameisjim 06-05-2009 03:15 PM

Yeah, I'm not sure what you guys are doing, but I can't get the full videos to play in a frame on Bing.

If these videos play on the search page, and it looks as though they do when you mouse over them, then shouldn't they be required to provide 2257 documents for them like everyone else?

That's a very good question. Anything could be playing on these pages!

HomerSimpson 06-05-2009 03:57 PM

this is not cool since on mouse over it plays various unwanted sounds that you can turn off... it's very annoying....

Mr. Billy 06-05-2009 04:32 PM

Yeah this really sucks.
