studios/producers lazy in fighting content sharing?

well, serious ... pornBB is known for sharing a lotta content
for free ... why wont the producers step in and close them
down? too lazy? i really dont get it ... there are dozens of
forums/blogs and other sites sharing full scenes; even full
movies ... and all are easy to find using google ... isnt it
about time to bang some asses out there? (C) violators
shud be easy to nail down by contacting their hosts ...
NOT? YOU the producers have the lawyers and funds to
wrestle down the scums ... dont ya? aint it time to put an
alliance up to fight that crap? claim reimbursement from
anyone running a file sharing site and close them down ...
NOW! :2 cents:

Full scenes dont generate anything except requests for more free full scenes. You can say what you want about the music industry you do see them buying ads on sites pirating their material.

Sueing...

Be prepared to spend a shitload of bucks to an attorney. Add to your busy production schedule appointments to attend court in Buttfuck, Idaho (insert remote location here). Be prepared to help prove how the copyright infringement is resulting in 'loss of livelihood' to a judge who may/may not be sympathetic to a porn producer's case.

Have you actually weighed ALL the costs involved in taking on a protracted copyright infringement lawsuit?

I agree - something needs to be done about infringement. But considering even the simple logistics...its more easily said than actually done.

err, most is shared over file hosts and they dont need any court action ... a properly formatted complaint/DCMA will do ... i reported some uploads yesterday and today they are gone! you really think file hosters wanna deal with the court? NO! they fall easily ... bottomline: report what you find no matter what ya think will happen ... smth WILL happen ... or, sit there jiggling balls and think "hey, someone will do smth bout it" ... yes, WE CAN! make a change happen :2 cents:

I think there would be a pretty good case in taking a rquest to a judge to block a site at an ISP level such as Piratebay...don't know why anybody doesnt do that.
Do it in one district and set a precedent.
