I have to tell everyone this.. $10,000 per shoe
 

I was at Gucci in the Bellagio last night buying a pair of shoes, and I happened to overhear a conversation between a sales clerk and this couple. The woman was trying on a pair of shoes. Her boyfriend asked how much they were, and she said $10,000 per shoe, very matter of factly. And he casually asked if she liked them. She said "Yes, you should get them for me..", with an equally nonchallant tone. (She was probably no more than 21 or 22 years old, and he was about 30).. They browsed for another minute, then he said "So do you want them?" And she naturally said yes. So he bought them for her..

I was pretty baffled. Not at the price of the shoes, though I don't see how anyone can justify $20,000 for a pair, but simply that he would throw away that much money on his girlfriend. I thought, what a trick!

Anyway.. I've been wanting to share with someone, so what better place than GFY, where we're all so worldy and immoral anyway. Thought it might be a bit of inspiration for everyone.. aspirations for the day when you too can spend $20,000 plus tax at Gucci on your girlfriend's shoes.
