Considering promoting cams

I have escort/dating traffic

Few questions

What do users pay on avg for cams?

Is it always live one on one or room cams, id like to know fees and differences?

Whats a cool program reliable to start with

Nicky 06-07-2009 12:15 PM

Webcams.com affiliate program would be a safe start, good lifetime revshare or high PPS. Loads of webmaster tools. How much average people spend is hard to say since It's dependant on your traffic and how willing they are to pay, members area traffic is always good. Most shows are 1 on 1 but there are those with several people involved too.

Check them out and hit up Daniel or Jago to get all the info and tools you need.

Hi,

AWE, the program of LiveJasmin and many other sites is a great sponsor to start with :thumbsup

They have 4 packages for members, $29.99, $59.99, $79.99, $99.99. Users often start with the $29.99 one but after a couple of days they go for the higher priced ones. Very sexy models there... and even porn stars (who can charge more than 5 credits / min).

AWE is a very reliable sponsor!

Nicky 06-07-2009 12:19 PM

You forgot to mention AWE only pay's for 14 day's on revshare then they cut you off, which sucks highly. :(

so users pay per minute, anyone care to explain the truth how this works and what to expect payout wise

It's not always one on one. For instance, multiple people can pay a model on ifriends at the same time, in the same room. A lot of them are one on one only when you are paying for time.

As for what customers spend, $2 per minute up to $5 or more per minute depending on the site / host / niche (lesbians get more on some sites).

Someone above mentioned webcams.com and I've found this to be a decent program but the giant WEBCAMS.COM watermark on every picture pretty much sucks.

Your traffic type will probably work great with it. Just remember that they want to see the real girls so buying up content to promote cams almost never works out well.

Its pretty simple. Surfer pays per min, model/studio gets a %, the affiliate gets a %. Most programs are paying out 20-35% to affiliates.

100% truth requested so here it is.

It sounds like you want to promote revshare which works out better long term. The truth is that most people either never pay for anything or pay for a few minutes and never return. What's unique in the webcam niche is that there are people that are addicted hard. These users will spend anywhere from $100 / week to $5,000 per week on their favorite girls. The more they spend the less likely you are to refer one of course but they are out there. It's not unusual to get a signup and watch them blow through $800 or so talking to one girl in one or two days.

That said, for some reason I've had certain sites that just never converted my traffic. It has never mattered what I sent to them, nobody would spend any significant money. You'll have to figure this part out with trial and error because I know others that make fistfulls of money from the sites I can't convert.

As a final aside, give it a little more time than you usually would on a new site. You might send 50 free members to a website and see absolutely nothing promising then make $200 the next week, $300 the next and $500 the next off of the same members.

Good luck.

I'm not the world's foremost expert on cams. I'm not sure anybody is... there's not a lot of market research available to firmly answer your questions. I've been promoting cam programs for a couple of years and I still have some of the same questions you have.

In my experience, I haven't seen any concrete evidence that pricing is a huge factor in cam show buying decisions. Video Secrets's sites get $5.99 per minute for private chat, and seem to be doing very well against the Cams.com and LiveJasmin.com type-programs where surfers can pay as little as $1.99 (or maybe even less) per minute for private chat and the exact same experience. For me personally, that's a discrepancy that's hard to figure or reconcile.

I try to look at webcam programs from the surfer's point-of-view. If I were going to buy a private show where would I buy it and what are the factors and motivators?... it could come down to being as simple as just finding a girl that's irresistible... regardless of where she's at and what's being charged. Of course, as an affiliate marketer you certainly have to be mindful of what the program you're promoting is giving to you to make it worthwhile. But, I figure I can't effectively promote to other people what I would not buy myself.

I very much agree. I've steered clear of this program because of the watermark issue. I'm a strong believer in branding (or co-branding) and the fact that they smear every image they produce with Webcams.com... pretty much renders their co-branding feature completely ineffective.

http://www.finth.net is set up using neon dollars.

They are very reliable, convert excellent and now have the new white label V2 which can be seen here: http://test.modelscan.org

Rev-Share is the best option to go with because once they convert they always seem to come back.

They also have introduced a new $99 package which obviously using rev-share is equal to just under $30 (which is the standard PPS)

Your members are also yours FOR LIFE!

oh and 18% webmaster referal. so if you want to sign up, please sign-up under me by clicking the webmasters link at the bottom :)

Good Luck :thumbsup

Seems like you have a wide variety of opinions and answers here already so I just wanted to throw our program (WebcamClub.com) into the mix and offer you a user/pass to check things out for yourself (if you'd like). I work with a lot of program owners one-on-one when it comes to cams and I think I can answer just about anything else you are wondering about. Just let me know.

About 30% goes to the affiliate, 30-50% to the model and the rest to the cams company. Its mostly done on a per minute basis with blocks of time being sold in $20-$100 blocks. I'm typically a PPS guy but when it comes to cams I'd do revshare, when a guy falls for a girl, he'll keep buying and buying. If you want a few unbiased opinions on which cam program work best for me, ICQ me.

I can't speak for other systems, but at Cams.com, here are the answers to your questions:

The girls/studios set their own per minute rates. We offer three levels of webcam: 1 on 1 (most expensive), 1 performer to many viewers (less expensive), and pre-recorded shows (cheapest at .99 a minute). The pre-recorded shows can obviously be viewed even when the model is not online.

Users vary quite a bit, as has been already explained. However, the users who fall in love with the girl of their choice spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars a month (usually on just the ONE girl.) This is why we suggest choosing revshare percentage as a payout method for cams. Our revshare payouts last for the life of your customer, so whenever he fills up his wallet with credits, you get paid. If you prefer to take advantage of one of our PPS specials, you can do that, too. :)

Please feel free to contact me if you have more questions regarding our system. You can get started by clicking here.

Post made in June, AWE switched to lifetime revshare in September.

Maybe you should read dates before you insult and accuse people of things. :2 cents:
