I doubt I will.... trying to sell the new features as industry-breaking stuff is crap. A lot of these new things have been standard on lots of phones for a long time.

Hope though most will be available on the 3G with a simple software update.

I'm not trading up for a long time, I only bought my IPhone because I was renewing my contract.

i have a 2.0 & i am ready to drop it. not because of the phone, but because AT&T is the worst carrier ever. Seems like 80% of my calls drop. it drives me crazy.

I just got a new phone (not an iPhone), no way I'm switching now.

Yer most of the stuff on the 3G S will be available on the 3.0 firmware(free) for the 3g

I wonder how flexible ATT will be with upgrades from iphone 3g to iphone3gs...

I picked up my iphone Jan of this year and now I want the new version. I do not mind extending my contract, I just hope they don't expect me to pay $500

I've read that if you've just gotten your contract, you may not be eligible for the new one.
However, if your current contract is near expiration then you'll asked to $200 for an upgrade.

I'm going to upgrade, but, basically add a second line and give my wife my old 8 gig 3g and get myself the 32 gig model. I have a shit load of data to carry around and this will help keep me away from having to lug around my laptop.

Nope. I use Mac but am perfectly happy with my Nokia E71. Unlocked for world travel!!!

I want the new one asap!

Got the iPhone 3G and been really pleased with it besides the pants camera its pretty damn good,no other phone really comes close for browsing the internet when the laptops just outta reach lol !

Even if the only new feature of the S is that it does video and is a bit bigger I still gotta get one :1orglaugh besides my contracts nearly up and I'd need to get a new free phone anyway :winkwink:

I didnt get the iPhone yet, been waiting to get one. Looks like now is the time to finally get it. I'm moving countries soon so thats why I was waiting on getting it.

I smashed my iphone3g into little pieces Sunday night / Monday morning, so Im gonna be phoneless till the new version arrives in a couple of weeks :D

right now as of june there only releqasing the new 3.0 OS, the new iphone 4G not 3g wont be out for a while since the networks are not ready for 4g yet.

Will probably decide to get this.

i will never get an iphone, they still sell the ORIGINAL v1 iphones unlocked for around 500 USD on Ebay, same with the 3G v2.0's ...

shame that the current in-built camera can't provide video with a firmware/software update, but I can live with that. Got my canon xm2 for that stuff.

most important for me is cut/copy/paste, mms, and internet tethering and I just asked Orange, my provider and they said they will support tethering at no extra charge charge when the iphone is updated, wooohoooo

about time! fucking cool - now I don't even have to take the phone out my pocket, no more plugging it into the usb socket of the stero - full control from the steering wheel for phone and music. Now I'm stoked.

I'm still using the first generation iPhone, love it, but it is nearing death I think. Just lil things I've noticed with it lately. So I will be making the switch.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the keynote and information given. I am eager to see the 3.0 release though.

i dont see any reason to switch. the only thing I want is the video camera, but theres an app for $20 that lets you record videos.
Ill wait until next year and see what they have out then

they cant come to an agreement with Adobe on the licensing

there is a hack for it that will play flash on most sites...its a little bit of a pin to set up but I tried it and it worked

they want all your money

flash on macs has always been dog slow and horrible
