How long does it take you to launch a new paysite?

I feel like a slow mother fucker. Maybe I'm not as starved as I used to be. For some reason it's taking me forever to get the 2nd one up.

It's taken me months of solid shooting and editing.

Getting all the trailers edited, censored, and rendered was a fucking bitch. Getting the members area content edited and rendered was another epic endeavor.

I really don't understand how some programs manage to have 70+ paysites. Maybe they employ 70 Filipinos for the job. I have no idea.

I think you need to start small, then work your way up. As you grow hire more people and build on your network. Never thing thats big enough -- keep growing.
I feel your pain, when I was working for the paysite owner, I was editing videos, photos, making the cms, tours, banners, galleries and then dealing with affiliates on top, plus members support. It's alot of work for 1 man. But if done correctly, it can really be worth the effort.

Depends on the type of site chief.

When I am controlling all aspects of the installation (picking designers, installation, etc.) then I can get a new celebrity pay site launched in 2-4 weeks. It used to take much longer before I recently found new designer/s and coder/s (sig).

As for launching a new, all amateur shot, pay site. I dunno, two - three months maybe? I am usually not in a rush on those to get them launched. I release content via clips4sale while building up enough content to launch a new site. The CMS, and design shit 2-3 weeks all depending. I suppose if I rushed it, I could have it done in 30-45 days? All content shot, processed, and uploaded. But that is a very busy time frame.

I do not launch a pay site without 6 months worth of updates.

It really comes down to staff and time.
we can launch about two a month but we have a very good team in place.

Too long. The answer is always too long.

The pimproll guys throw them out the door. They are always to the highest quality as well. Exclusive sites obviously take time when you're having the content shot etc. But from having the content to getting everything in the members area and design done it can be as quick as 1 week. More like 2 tho to perfect everything.

Bigger guys operate on an economy of scale and they have the infrastructure that's trained to roll it out. I say take your time and produce a best of niche "boutique" site.

As others have said - depends on the complexities of the site, how much time you have to devote to it...and how quickly you work.

If I'm enthusiastic about a site and eager to get it launched, I can put it together reasonably quick. If it ends up on the backburner it takes me forever to get around to working on it again.
