Legal Authority Kills French Three-Strikes Law

The French Hadopi legislation passed last month introduced draconian measures to combat piracy, including a ?three strikes? regime for persistent copyright infringers. However, France?s highest constitutional authority today ruled that Internet access is a fundamental human right and killed the three-strikes provision.

so that much praised (by the MPAA/RIAA) law has been struck down by the court

i guess the your guilty until proven innocent arguement just went to far over the top.

so in the other thread (pirates in parliament) I finally get you to admit that the actual copyright infringers are the only guilty parties in the whole piracy mess, and now you add here that even if they are caught and found guilty 3 or more times there should be no real punishment for them. No 3 strike type laws - hell how about 4, 5, 6, ... 100 strikes - should they still have no severe punishment as a deterrent?

just let em walk and do it again and again and ...

you are a hardcore gangster thief and supporter of that lifestyle/mentality

no way i'll ever understand

did you read the article the law, was based on the concept
the riaa says your ip was responsible, you get disconnect after three complaints
no going to court
no proving you and not some hacker jumping on your network is actually guilty
just the say so of the copyright holder and you get punished as if you are guilty

hense the statement

btw i have always said the people who are doing the infringing are guilty
i said don't go after the tracker
don't go after the seeder
don't go after the leacher who has a fair use right to the content
only go after the leacher who does not have such a right
more than 2 years ago.
so there is no finally about my admission it been what i have been saying all along.

Would it bother you if I said it took me until 5:30 in the morning to post how much of an idiot you are?

After so many threads of you popping in and your one sided ignorant time shifting bullshit I hope somehow I can be the one person who can magically convince you to shut up.

Maybe this will make it happen....
Who are you?
What do you do?
What is it that you do that makes me even want to give a coherent thought to what you write?

Honestly, without some merit as to what you do and why you make your position, I have to believe you are just some shit disturbing loon. Because your arguments are always cluelessly (did I make that word up) one sided. To top it off, they aren't even arguments, they are science fiction.

so you believe the fundamental principle of "innocent until proven guilty" should disappear.

you would want to be dragged of to jail for selling kiddie porn whenever you promote a barely legal sponsor, forced to spend money proving your innocent to be let out of jail.

If you have a problem with this but somehow believe that it is legitimate to take away that fundamental right from someone else you are a hypocrite.
