I miss having a kid in the house

OK, my daughter is in the Navy and I miss her a lot
One of the things I miss is going to movies with her
Last night I said fuck it, and took my GF to see "UP"
It was a pretty good movie and I would recommend it. My GF is going to see Harry Potter with me. I'm a big kid at heart I guess!

seeandsee 06-14-2009 09:31 AM

It's my daughters fault

HorseShit 06-14-2009 09:40 AM

What are you doing now a day, just running your own sites?

UP was awesome.

It was way better, then Wolverine and Terminator Salvation.

Just run sites. Why would anyone want a job?

Setting an alarm clock, driving to work, being told what to do... fuck that.

That sounds like a bad flash back of the 80s and 90s for me.

How long has your daughter been in the Navy and what is her MOS?

SHe has 7 ribbons and a warfare pin after 2 1/2 years, she wants to get into holistic medicine when she gets out

I worked for Playboy for 3 years, never set an alarm clock, I even close down the bars a few times and still went to work without an alarm clock

TurboAngel 06-15-2009 08:36 AM

Well then have another baby.

tranza 06-15-2009 12:03 PM

This is all serious?

LiveDose 06-15-2009 12:05 PM

Kids fill up a house for sure. Never quiet, lots of laughs, good times.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 06-15-2009 01:28 PM

Aw! I think thats sad but adorable that your gf is ok with that :)

Rochard 06-15-2009 04:56 PM

Kids rock. This weekend we took my daughter roller skating. What a blast that was. She can now skate on her own. We also bought season passes to the local water park and she's going on the 'big rides" for the first time.

Vendzilla 06-15-2009 05:49 PM

Having kids is imortality, make a world a better place one off spring at a time

Bridgette 06-15-2009 06:12 PM

Hey, maybe your daughter will have some babies at some point, and then your house will be full of noise again! My sister just had her second, and it's always noisy over there...

Vendzilla 06-15-2009 07:51 PM

I can wait a while for Grand Kids, she needs to focus on a career first, I told her to have some fun first, then think about kids

junction 06-15-2009 07:54 PM

I have a 4 year old and a 4 month old. Both girls, both driving me nuts. You want 'em for a week? Hell take the wife too. I could use a vacation.

beerptrol 06-15-2009 07:56 PM

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I can't wait for my gf's kids to get the hell out of the house

Make sure he gets an education that can be used, I was a sonar tech on a submarine, not much use for that in civilian life

All my daughters friends thought I was the cool dad, always had kids hanging out at my place. I let my daughter skip class for the openings of the new Harry Potter movies, like how can I say no to a 4.0 gpa kid for that?

princess 06-16-2009 07:26 PM

It's easy dear.. NO!.. hell no.. not no HELL NO! lol..

Are you kidding? my kids were always spoiled rotten so I didn't know how to say no either..

selena 06-17-2009 08:49 AM

We saw UP this past weekend, and it was great.

I'm a kid at heart too, and if the boy is gone, I still watch Nickelodeon & the Disney channel. I am well versed in Hannah Montana, much to the delight of the little girl up the street.

I don't have any plans on growing up any time soon.

I remember being like that with my parents when I was that age. My mom ended up being my best friend in the world!

If you haven't seen The Emperors New Groove you HAVE to watch it. It will crack you up. Its an older Disney movie but funny as hell.
