Porn Star Paid $500,000 To Tattoo Company URL & Logo To Her DD Breasts

If this is a real story, it's pretty damn crazy, an MMORPG currency seller paid $500k for a tattoo on a pornstar's tits, ha ha.

The craziest part is that a WOW gold shop actually had $500,000 to blow on advertising. Hard to believe how big a market that is.

JamesK 06-14-2009 04:03 PM

What a waste of $500k if it's true.

Webmaster Army 06-14-2009 04:04 PM

Did the sale really happen?

Probably.

Was it for $500,000?

Probably not.

Just like you see on this board a lot of marketing is blowing smoke up people's ass. The gold shop gets a story in the news and the porn star gets a few bucks plus wide exposure to every WoW playing nerd on the planet among others. They are lifetime fans now so her stock in the industry just went up. :2cents

Jdoughs 06-14-2009 04:04 PM

I find this very hard to believe.

With 500k they could have had their name on 50 of these girls.

The MMO gold market is a case of modern day slavery. People in third world countries (especially China) bust their ass off for peanuts. The middlemen make the real money.

She got a better deal then the last guy who was doing sleeves

MediaGuy 06-14-2009 04:29 PM

Who's Anna Morgan? She certainly doesn't seem to work under that name... or she somehow doesn't work online... ?

SilentKnight 06-14-2009 04:34 PM

I call bullshit on this one.

What next...$250k for their TOS on her navel?

All I know is whoever wrote that article is a retard. It basically repeated the same 3 facts 3 different times in 3 different paragraphs. They must have been paid per word.

IMHO it looks like an attempt at PR (press release) /SEO

Looks like they are trying to rank for the term "Wow Gold". Repeating their kw's helps to make the article relevant, and make the link count more contextually.

They are probably making an extra play for juice (remember G pays attention to bounce rate & time on page too) by making it be a salacious headline, hoping to get the PR itself some pretty juicy links.

Re-read the article. If that was what he was going for.. he's doing it wrong.
The fact that she has agreed not to alter it was repeated 3 times. What is the keyword in that sentence. I get repeating her name and WoW etc.. but this was just a case of writers diarrhea IMHO

It's a multimillion dollar industry. Most of it based in China. There were attempts here in the Philippines but China got us beat in terms of lower pay and economy of scale.

The tattoo was paid for with 500k wow gold. Which sells for about $500 - $2500.
