I have a client wanting to do a Social Network site but doesnt want to spend the money on a custom script

anything anyone has worked with that any good?

Dolphin is very good apparently (http://www.boonex.com/) but I have been told on several occasions that it can be tricky to set-up.

Dolphin is crap once you start digging into it.

I like Joomla with the JomSocial plugin - http://jomsocial.com (it's a paid plugin but not pricey)
