Any mod-rewrite pros here?

I'm wondering if there is a way I can set up the links on my TGP to appear static, but still work with my tgp/trade scripts.

Willing to hire someone if this is possible.

are you trying to get rid of the question marks in urls?

your post is vague, supply us with at least a url or a site or an example :upsidedow

That surely depends on the script you're using, e.g. if the urls are like /out.php?someshit=x&url=http://galleryurl.com/path/to/gallery/index.html they're quite hard to rewrite without retouching a lot in the script itself ... but as doctor feelgood posted ... would need a sample for more info :)

post your url structure, so we can give a reply based on that

After this Google shit going down, I want to try disguising the fact that I'm using Smart Thumbs.

Here is a sample gallery link:
Code:

<a href="st/st.php?id=273163&script=1&url=http://btaw.brazzers.com/766/?t=65%26nats=MTE0MjozOjIw,0,0,0,134401&p=62&var1=vid" target="_blank">
Basically want to get rid of the (st/st.php?id=273163&script=1&url=) at the beginning, and rewrite it back in later. But it needs to keep the ID= and a way to indicate what links to rewrite, as not all links on the page require this, just the gallery links.

Or maybe someone can suggest a more elegant solution. So far I've only really thought to use mod_rewrite.

I think Godsmack should contact google and see if they can get it resolved, they are usally good about this stuff

I agree, but he seems pretty convinced it's not his script that is to blame. I'm not 100% sure it is, but I'm not going to sit back and do nothing.

that is if google thinks they are mistaken in this action, perhaps they are completely aware of what they are doing in this action and in their opinion the tgp's don't deserve any weight in the serps due to their very nature
