The true American form of government was meant to be a constitutional republic not a democracy or anything else. Democracy means mob rule. 51% of the people rule the other 49%.

It's just wordplay. When mentioning Democracy they mean a representative democracy, which is basically interchangeable with the word republic.

Representative Republic.... this isnt a democracy... aka the Electoral College... our founding fathers did not believe the American people intelligent or informed enough to elect the correct the candidate.
