Holy Moley - Transformers is going to have a big weekend
 

Just Fandango'd for my two sons and his friend.. It's about 4.5 hours till midnight here.. closest theater is showing it on 5 screens and is sold out. Next closest has it on 9 screens, staggered starting at midnight, then 12:10, 12:20 and 12:30. I managed to get them tickets to a 12:20 (earlier is sold out).

I'm going tomorrow early afternoon.

I'm waiting until next week.

They better rack it up. I'm guessing they chose the Wednesday opening because early reviews are really bad and word of mouth are going to keep a lot of people away next week.

I'll wait a while before going and seeing it.

Uhm...most "fans" come out the first weekend. Word of mouth and reviews is what carries the movie through to it's second week.

My point still stands.

I've read about a half dozen others as well. I'd say at worst they are "mixed" reviews, not bad ones. :2 cents:

I predict this movie tops the first one in revenue.

I'll try to catch it one day next week.. not a fan of huge crowds and the only movies I've seen on opening nights were the 3 newest Star Wars movies..

I'm going at midnight tonight. The theater we are going to has 9 screens showing it and all are sold out. they are also having 3am showings and about half the tickets to those are gone as well.

Normally I would never do a midnight show, but my buddy starts a run of working 21 straight days without a day off tomorrow night so he wanted to catch it now or he will have to wait 3 weeks. I just want some cool effects, good action and Megan Fox hottness and I will be happy.

The first one sucked ass. I can't imagine this one being any better.

$16M on it's opening night. And a record $1M in IMAX revenue.

I'd say my prediction for this movie is right on track.

Saw it last night at 8:45 PM to a mildly sold room. Cost me about 3.50$

Loved it.

I never go see a movie when it's just came out. I hate a packed cinema.

After a couple of weeks, the crowds are gone, you get a better seat not right down the front, and you don't get stuck behind the tallest asshole in the place...

My friend Sergey sent me a DVD. I thought the packaging was third-rate. Even the disc had nothing but 'Verbatim' written on it.

Critics are bashing the movie but most people on the street say it's awesome. It's just a big special effects movie. They don't care about anything else with this type of movie.

Going to drop like a rock next week.
