Google to introduce high end ads based on FICO score

Quote:

Users with good FICO scores might soon start seeing ads for more expensive luxury goods and services than those with lower scores, as Google() has started to experiment with targeting ads based on users? credit score.

According to Google?s senior industry marketing manager for financial services, Masha Korsunsky, this is one of the initiatives Google has been launching together with Compete, which has a database of about 2 million users who agreed to give info on their credit score when they applied for a new credit card.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh awesome.

im sure you will have to fill out a profile to get those ads to show. they are testing it out now with demographics and buying patterns. its not like google is come into your house while your sleeping and dig through your personal info to find your credit report

This is so shitty so now if you run ads on google and google decides your product is ghetto you will only show to those people? Just make it a little harder everyday to use your system and soon we will all go away...

And the FTC beats up on adult companies for having cross sales in the fine print... If you think about it, this is just as bad

if you have the data, use it. 2 mil users is a relatively small sample.
