Fucked up day, hate unexpected things
 

So today was a big disaster day.

In the datacenter where all our servers are colocated, all CRAC (airco) units caused a full power shut down because the temperature was above 40 degrees. High temperature, leaking aircos and lots of problems.

Results, 2x dead data switches, 2 server power supplies fucked, 1 harddisk in our database server damaged plus missing 1 day turnover and still recovering with restoring databases and data.

Damn I need some sleep :mad::mad:

I remember when that happened to me at GlobalCenter. I was not a happy camper. I lost two switches, my favorite CSU, and an APC power sentry.

Yeah this really sucks, I think the worst nightmare for people in our industry.
Most important is to get this up and running again.

They guys in the data center are busy to restore the databases and insert a new disk.

I don't know if the datacenter is responsible for the caused damage because the data switches cost each 4.000 euro, but thats something for later. Now we need to fire start everything to get it back in motion.


Yeah everything comes at once, can't wait to put the new system online running on CDN to avoid any down time in the future.

Anyway today we will have a Voyeur party / BBQ here with the girls, so you are invited :)
Will be a night with no sleep and tomorrow doing the weekly shopping, yak.

Thanks for the support. This caused a lot of damage to our equipment and resulted me looking like a zombie.

With the help and assistance from the tech heads in the data centre and my buddy Robin we got it up and running again (respect!).

but i sent you a dozen roses afterwards..
