An affiliate program with just Revshare
Would you guys promote an affiliate program that only offers revshare if it converted well? What do you feel is a fair signup price vs webmaster reward for a starting affiliate program that has something good to offer? We all know paying 30-35 PPS in the first year is very tough, paying out webmasters for the majority of sales. There are very high costs running a paysite network like most of them out there that have exclusive content.
How about if they promised to come out with PPS in the near future Please discuss |
been running a network of paysites for over 7 years (expensive network as its updated non stop with exclusive content) its only revshare, there is no doubt many want pps but those who understand sales and traffic understand that if a site is quality the revshare option will make more than pps.
So a few months ago I did my numbers and figured out that if I would of done pps I would of made 7x more money long term over the years, and thats why july 15th ill start doing pps, just purchased nats and its really amazing what it does for a program owner and affiliate. |
DTI Cash is a good one!
Pseudonymous, start with internal traffic until you have something very valuable to offer affiliates. If you start with unique content or something significant for webmasters they will take revshare no problem. |
if the programs converted well and retained well why would I want to switch to PPS? Sure, it would be faster $, but if I'm making more in the long run with revshare than I would be fucking myself over by going pps.
so yes, if it converted well and retained well I would promote a program that only offered revshare. |

I use only revshare unless the sponsor doesn't have it in most cases.
I like pay per signup when using sponsors that are not really the same niche as my traffic. The fewer sign ups get paid out faster in PPS. |
Depending on the sites
Some micro Niched sites with lower quality and quantity content i ll do PPS But for all-you-can-eat and vod sites, rev share is the way to go. |
A ton of great programs offer only rev share at 50% man.

All CCBIll programs are RevShare...
|
I know alot are. That's not what I was getting at.
I was seeing how you guys felt about it all. There are still reasons to choose PPS. So to leave it out will handcuff people a bit. I agree with EscortBizPro on this topic. |

Revshare is just fine unless your retention sucks bad. It's nice having the option to switch but I am more likely to drop a program all together if retention is that bad. I still have a push a handful of PPS but the majority is revshare by choice.
BTW there are affiliate programs on ccbill that have PPS. |
RevShare it! ... .com

I watch my stats closely, though, and there has only been one pay period from one sponsor where I would have earned more using their PPS instead of revshare. With my limited traffic, I'm going to make more from a quality revshare program than from a shitty PPS program. Having said that... If you want a huge influx of members to start with, you'll probably have to make a prepaid PPS deal with a few whales. To get a large number of webmasters sending a few sales per month, I'd say 60% initial and 50% recurring is a good deal. To answer your question: Yes, I would promote an affiliate program that only offers revshare if it converted (and retained) well. I prefer it. |
We only offer rev share at this point.
On a personal note its how I made my living as an affiliate for almost ten years. On a soft month its nice to know those rebills will come in and give you a stable income. |
