how screwed would you be if someone stole your laptop?
I was just thinking how I need to back alot of stuff I've got on here taking for granted...
Not very, both my laptops have been sitting for months... I use my main machine all the time.
I lock all my stuff up and trust my neighbors enough to not bust a B&E
don't even want to think about that.. granted i have EVERYTHING backed up as recent as last night on my external but just the amount of passwords stored on this laptop would suck to have to change
I'd be more concerned if I lost my backup harddrives. I don't keep data on my machines. I keep all of the installation files for my apps and all of my data either on CD/DVD or on my backup harddrive. My laptops are just consoles. Nothing more.
If they stole my desktop they would get a sick about of japanese porn, and some passwords to my accounts. But I have a lot of stuff burned on cds plus I have a couple external hard drives...and some are stored away from my apt. in case of a fire or theft.
I would like to start using some online storage...anyone try these? http://www.xdrive.com/ http://www.adrive.com/ http://www.freedrive.com/ http://www.flipdrive.com/ http://mozy.com/ This is just a few I found but this market for online storage is huge and growning due to people using computers for everything these days. |
keep my passwords and such on a zipdrive in a safe .. all theyd get would be some pictures of me and my wife and baby lucky them :)

not much. I don't save any passwords on it and my desktop is my main computer.
