Question for all you kids at heart out there: Which Orlando, FL parks to go to?

Ok, I can't hold my kid off much longer... it is time to hit Orlando soon for some of those amusement parks. :upsidedow

Any suggestions and tips? thanks! :thumbsup

i havent been in a long time, but i suggest going for 7+ days and try and hit 1 park a day, and just some relaxation days in there too.

as far as the parks i havent been in so long, not sure whats good anymore but i always like universal studios, disney, and the water parks :)

waiting for my little guy to get older before we take him.

Disney and Universal are where we go. Sea World isn't all that exciting, though they do have a nice new water park.

I have a friend who's a dolphin trainer at Discovery Cove (a Sea World sister park) and we usually take a day to go swimming with the dolphins. That's always a lot of fun.

We're going for our yearly trip this October. Can't wait.

I thought Universal Studios sucked ass, but thats just me...
It depends on what you like to do... and how old your kid is and what they are into.

2006 and 2007 I went to Florida for 1 month each time. You have to check out Islands of Adventure by Universal, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. You cannot miss those 3, they are so good. Universal Studios is pretty good too if you like more of the SIM type of attractions.

Good rides to go on over and over again are as follows:
HULK, Kracken, Tower of Terror, AeroSmith one, and all the big ones at Busch Gardens.

Damn now you made me want to go back!

Its going to be HOT as hell now but if you have never been hit Disney and a water park, dont miss the shopping at Disney Village ( actually worth it even for guys ) and either MGM or Universal. Plenty of things to do.

Stay in Disney at one of the hotels. No need for a car.

Sea World, imo, is the best park to go to with a kid... even when it's busy you can get around the park pretty easily, tons to see and you can actually do the whole park within a half day. If you like water parks go to Seaworld's Aquatica, hands down the best water park I've ever been to in my life.

Disney... ok here is my perfect disney day because you simply can't do everything and there's a lot to avoid and a lot you can't miss. Get your passes and show up at Animal Kingdom 5-10 minutes before the parks even open, soon as the gates open proceed directly to the back left of the park to the safari ride, don't stop for shit, don't look at stuff, don't bother with the cute animal prints on the ground. You'll get right on the ride and have a great time.. all the animal will be out, come around 10/11am it gets too hot and they all hide and you'll be standing in line for nothing. After the ride go to the "tree" and see the bugs show. Then leave the park - the rest of it is boring. Head over to Epcot and ride the globe, drink soda from around the world, ride test track, mission space if the kid is up for that, then go back to the world pavilion and walk around and have lunch in one of the worlds. Leave Epcot - the rest of it sucks. Head over to the actual Disney (magic kingdom) and spend the rest of the day there and have fun. AVOID MGM/HOLLYWOOD, waste of time (keep in mind this is for a one day trip)

Universal - Best park in orlando, don't miss it, tons of fast rides if the kid is into it. Make sure you do spiderman and simpsons. At night hit City Walk for some good food.

Of course call me or email me and I'll tell you anything else you need to know.

Miss ya!

Have an iPhone?

If so, here's an app for wait times, etc.:

You can buy what is called a "Speed Pass". There are 2 separate lines. You get first dibs. You are only supposed to use it on each ride once, but they don't really pay to much attention.
