Anyone in SD that can save a pits life.

Last week while at work a abandon pit came up to me and was very scared and upset. She followed me around and I feed her and got her into my car. She is currently in the shelter and I got a call today that if I can't help find a home within 3 days she is going to be put down. If anyone in here is willing to adopt and save this pit please call me asap 619-395-5229

i dont know many people that will take a abandoned pit :(

baddog 07-07-2009 05:03 PM

My ex-wife will. But you would have to deliver it.

aniloscash 07-07-2009 05:06 PM

I'll never adopt another pet from a breeder there are so many animals that get put down. if I was in LA I would make the delivery.

INDY500DRIVER 07-07-2009 05:06 PM

Bump for animals, they need our help..

split_joel 07-07-2009 05:07 PM

Baddog I would deliver however the humane society will not let me just come pick him up without having the person who wants to give him a home to come in and they do the backround check and all that stuff.

What does LA have to do with anything?

So, tell them you decided to keep it yourself.

last time i adopted the dog I got checked up on, and I would adopt her but my complex does not allow pitbulls which is another problem because they have to call your landlord.

HorseShit 07-07-2009 05:12 PM

get that pit for your datacenter, it can patrol the inside 24/7 and will become the split dog

Give a friends phone number and he can play the part... Honestly someone as found a person that will take the dog and you seem to be making excuses.

It's not like the human society will rat you out if they figure out your friend is not the landlord.

:2 cents:

its hard man, our local shelter puts dogs to death so quickly, something like 30 a day its sickening, but they just roam the streets until getting picked up.

it breaks my heart thinking about animals being put to sleep and also strengethens my vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.

Why is that? No one is eating them . . . although it is a waste of meat.

CYF 07-07-2009 05:47 PM

Bump for a good cause. I really like pitbulls.

Good luck guys.

30 a day? Who isn't getting their pets spayed/neutered? Here the shelters don't let you adopt without a free coupon with a local vet to get the animal "fixed" and that seems to work ok.

LiveDose 07-07-2009 09:24 PM

Craigslist.

Really? Here they spay and neuter them at the shelter. You adopt them and pay all the fees. Then they keep the dog over night and spay or neuter them in the morning. Then you can pick up your new pet in the afternoon.

CYF 07-08-2009 01:52 PM

bump for a good cause.

FrozenJag 07-08-2009 01:55 PM

I would but im in the midwest. Ive fostered a few pitbulls in the past and own one myself.

My best advice is to call a pitbull rescue organization and have the pick it up.
