And you are???

:winkwink:

SBJ 07-09-2009 08:31 PM

how's life away from GFY and what made you come back?

»Rob Content« 07-09-2009 08:33 PM

Why did Bob stop working for you, and what happened with wrong way?

Nicky 07-09-2009 08:34 PM

What are the most important parts of keeping high rentention and keep members rebilling to paysites in your opinion? A little more indepth answer than "Regular and fresh content updates" would be nice. :)

Been around 10 years+. For those that don't know me I run www.lightspeedcash.com and www.*************.com. Over the years I have employed 30+ people, and sponsored 100+ webmaster tradeshows. My niche is the sologirl and barely legal markets.

slapass 07-09-2009 08:36 PM

If you had to start over again today could you? Would you?

Thanks

LiveDose 07-09-2009 08:37 PM

How much start up capital went into your program initially back in the day?

I left GFY when I felt like it was being overrun by people that run illegal tube sites and laugh in the faces of legitimate webmasters and content producers. Lately, it seems like those people have moved away from GFY, so I'm back. I've been focusing on bulding my own internal traffic sources since I left.

brand0n 07-09-2009 08:40 PM

consider giving me a budget and allowing me to recruit for you?

Bob is overqualified to work for me. I was happy to have him with Lightspeed at all. I decided to put WrongWay on hold for now until the economy improves. It still seems like a bad time to launch a new program.

EscortBiz 07-09-2009 08:42 PM

knowing everything you know now and youd have to pick one sector of adult to be in what would you start in these days?

slapass 07-09-2009 08:44 PM

This is going to be good...

:thumbsup

seeric 07-09-2009 08:44 PM

How are you dealing with the rampant piracy and flood of tube sites that are offering full-length scenes?

On a lighter note, how is the stand-up comedy thing going?

ADG

Original and hard-to-find content are key for retention. People nowadays want it ALL. Think of sites you visit every day. Facebook, Flickr, Myspace, Youtube -- are all about quality, quantity, and community. I'm not sure regular porn paysites can survive much longer the way they are now, even mine.

Sly 07-09-2009 08:47 PM

Did your self banning increase your productivity/earnings?

babebuns 07-09-2009 08:48 PM

Who's you're favorite model to shoot?

baddog 07-09-2009 08:50 PM

Are the rumors of Taylor Little's return true? If so, how does she rank as far as your all time money makers?

5. Yes, I could start again, and I have a new business plan that is totally different than anything on the net right now. People say "Adapt or Die", I prefer "Adapt and Kill". I have a tube killer in the wings.

Spunky 07-09-2009 08:52 PM

Can we see more naked girlies now?

So would you think It's suicide to start a paysite basically from scratch and building it up slowely now a day's even if It's in a hard to find niche?

What if you combine the paysite with the niche content and offer niche live cams etc inside the members area along with a forum etc?

I started with about $2000 in cash. I bought 2 used cheerleader uniforms, a cheap digital camera, and space on a shared server. My original models were paid $50-$75 per hour.

6. I pay 10% of the model's earnings, up to $500, for new models. But I'm picky as hell, and I need brand new talent, never shot before.

jmcb420 07-09-2009 08:57 PM

Dude,
What the hell is it like to be Steve Lightspeed? Way way back Tawnee Stone was the first proggie I pushed (I still have the photocopy of myfirst check), and I always wondered what it was like for the man in charge.
Thanks.

7. I've always said, start with traffic first. No one told me when I was new. I wish they had, I'd be a traffic GOD now.

Sly 07-09-2009 08:58 PM

Steve I think you forgot how to count.

Steve, have you taken the time to examine your need for ego stroking attention from a group of miscreant porn slingers?

great.. question about your internal traffic sources.. What kind of traffic, what's converting the best and how are you promoting it (nn, softcore pics, nn vids, softcore vids..) ETC.. I only ask cause I would love to get back to making money with your program but haven't had much luck as of late. If you'd rather not post details here maybe you could icq me sometime or email me

10. I've put my energy into a new biz model, that will kill illegal tubes. I've recruited the smartest people in the biz to help develop it. I can't wait to unleash it.

I've set stand-up aside for now, passed the comedy-baton to KB.

Vjo 07-09-2009 09:06 PM

Within a niche on a page, links site, tube, tgp, or any other typical adult site, what is an optimum number of sponsors? Can one have too many paysite options for the surfer OR is it better to give the surfer the most paysite options?

(If all sponsors are deemed to be equally good sellers)

11. alot :thumbsup Affiliates are a very small part of our traffic sources now.

triumph 07-09-2009 09:11 PM

Steve earlier you said you would be a "traffic God" if you started over. Lets say you had a bunch of traffic now, what would you do with it? Especially since conversions are horrible as they are these days.

12. Jordan Capri is the most photogenic person I've ever known. Taylor Little is a joy to shoot, and fun to hang out with. Tawnee Stone of course is our biggest money maker, and the first model I fell in love with.

13. Taylor was at my house last night. She still looks fantastic! I'd love to shoot her again right now. Money maker? Her site is 3rd overall of the sologirls, but she was also a huge part of university and sorority, so I try not to rank our models like that.

15. Rule #1 of business: "Find a need and fill it." If you feel there is a REAL NEED for your paysite, then launch it. I personally can't imagine a need for more non-niche paysites right now. If you open a paysite now, it better be a GREAT one.

16. FUN. The last 10 years have been the best times of my life. Although sometimes I worry that the best times are now behind me.

19. Push only what YOU like, and be honest to your surfer. We all made more money before paid placements.

20. Refer to #19. The guy with a sweet tooth knows where the best bakery is, right? Stop chasing the money and promote what YOU like BEST.

Vjo 07-09-2009 09:31 PM
