i assure you guys dont be left behind cuz most of the affiliate's here might say chat sale is bad but in reality they are doing already they just dont want any competition

Tom_PM 07-10-2009 09:18 AM

So to break this down, you're asking if sales that are highly fraudulent are really "that bad"?

Or are you asking if chat traffic generates a lot of fraud?

kmanrox 07-10-2009 09:19 AM

this is like a Filipino outsourcee flunky thread

Phoenix 07-10-2009 09:19 AM

if you play the game right...chat traffic can be very valuable

seeandsee 07-10-2009 09:26 AM

Pete-KT 07-10-2009 09:30 AM

when you lose your processing due to high chargebacks then let us know how profitable it really was

Bryan G 07-10-2009 09:32 AM

What alot of chatters don't realize is that sales need to convert for the sponsor to make money. Most Chatters dont understand this.

czarina 07-10-2009 09:35 AM

i dont think it's bad at all; the conversions are off the top, the problem is the retention because once the guy buys, the chatter ignores him

Most don't even really care about this, their agents will have the same member buy trials to several sites just to cash in, and often those 'members' won't even login.

LeRoy 07-10-2009 09:50 AM

The only way they will do it. The sponsor has to have Pay Per Signup and epass payment...

Thats says they dont trust their own signups to convert to additional sales. Also asking for only epass payments means they want the money really fast.

After the sponsor finds out that every sign up never became a real cam customer. All the sales they were just fake signups from the very start. The chatter affiliate is long gone by now

We don't have PPS or epass payments therefore we don't get those chat sales. We only have revshare ATM. We do have a promos that have a PPS though. but those are promos.

Chat sales are garbage.. Our programs will not take them, and if you're caught sending them we will shit-can your account WITHOUT PAY. and put you in the negative database for a do-not-pay list to ensure you never get a payment at any of our programs..

Chat sales used to be a good thing at one point, now its a greedy fraudulent scheme to defraud programs out of commissions.

Any paysite program that DOES allow chat sales should only pay $5-10 per signup, because this is really about all that each join is worth.. If the program has cross sales the surfer is usually told to uncheck them by the chatter so that they can get them to hit one more site later down the road without killing the card..

In the end the only person these sales are profitable for is the owner of the chat operation.

Also about 90% of the joins that I have ever seen generated from chatters come from Latin American Spanish speaking countries.. so the chatters are obviously communicating in Spanish or Portuguese and the end user most likely has no fucking idea what the site is about because most tours are in English only, So most members won't know how to cancel or how to get support other than from the chatter who they may add as a friend and ask to help them cancel.. Then the banks get called and the chargebacks come in.. Do you think the chatter gives a shit about this person canceling or charging back?

Furious_Male 07-10-2009 10:03 AM

A lot of people don't understand how most chat traffic operations work.

The surfer is mislead into thinking they are going to view a "girl" they met in a chat room (they saw her profile picture etc.) on cam for a FREE show. Now that's been going on for a long time so alone its not a major issues. Some of the surfers may still stick with the membership others cancel.

The problem is this. These chat operations do not just push one program in a single chat session instead they push 5 or more. For example the chatter hooks a surfer in a chat room. "she" promises a free show if you join a specific site. These are almost always PPS programs with free or $1 trials. The surfer joins one site. Surfs the cam area and can't find the "girl" for the free cam show. The chatter then drops another link saying. Oh sorry try this one. They repeat this until the surfer finally catches on to the scam.

In short that same surfer was mislead into signing up to 3-5+ sites in one session. Short of forgetting to cancel how good is the join for each program.

Chat traffic would have some limited value if they would left it at chatting and didn't cross over into carding stolen numbers.

Interesting concept.. I get hit up by these types weekly!

Tom_PM 07-10-2009 10:19 AM

Some idiots just dont realise that what hurts a sponsor hurts them. If not today, then tomorrow. When you join a sponsor, you should consider it like owning stock. Or get the hell out of the business right now, thanks.

If you think its high income, then why don't you try revshare. Watch how 'valuable' your chatter joins are actually worth.
