Ryan Seacrest just cashed in on a $45 million dollar contract with American Idol

Ms. Abdul is seeking a substantial raise from her current salary, which people close to her have said is about $2 million. Simon Cowell is under contract as a judge through next season and is estimated to earn more than $30 million a year in salary and other payments. The other judge, Randy Jackson, is also under contract through next year.

Didn't know Seacrest was that popular in the US ... I only see him on E! here in the EU

They could get anyone to host it for $10k a year, and it wouldn't be worse.

I give the guy credit for cashing in, that's great.

But he seems like the most expendable member of the show. Paula makes the least and she probably brings the most free publicity to the show besides Simon with all her bizarre antics.

two mil against 30 mil there is something wrong here it seems. but that is serious money right there. one contract and you never have to work again. lol
