Selling a site
I'm selling a site I own, I ahve a buyer and we agreed on the price.
how do you guys normally proceed? do you use an escrow? which one do you usually use and what are the fees, etc. thanks:thumbsup |
I would use escrow if you have never done business with him/her before, or trust them, or is a large transaction, just becareful.
|
hold the 2257 info until all cash is cleared
|
use escrow.
|
i have used www.escrow.com a couple of times with great success.
|
plus make the buyer pay the escrow fees
|
use escrow.com either split fee's or make him pay them.
|
Lol what escrow?I was buying sites more then 10 times and never had any problem nor was using escrow.I was simply paid money, then i got domains transferred, and then i started file transfer. There is chance to be screwed if you don't verify first from who you buying but that is why is important to do analysis first.Since you are seller in this case, tell him to send money, transfer domain same minute to him and that's it.

cash first - then he'll get the site...
same as you go to shopping - you don't get things unless you pay for them... easy as that... |
Moniker.com do escrows, when they did it for a previous sale I was involved with both the cash and the site were held by them until all assets had been transferred accordingly. You may want to look into using them being that they can offer escrow for both parties assets, meaning the cash and the site.
Check out this page http://www.moniker.com/aftermarket/domain-escrow.jsp Good luck with everything and I hope the transition runs smoothly! :) |
1. ESCROW.COM
2. Start site transfer, mail out drive. 3. Hold docs until money clears. |

you get paid first, then release everything. i buy sites and have always paid first before i got anything.
