Making money by upgrading your iphone
I sold my iPhone 2G 16GB on ebay for $280.
I purchased the new 3GS 16GB today for $216 (including tax). I made $64. Looks like out-of-contract iphones sell for quite a bit on ebay. |
Yeah because if you are already in contract an old iphone is still $199 minimum for a refurbished one
i should go upgrade mine
sounds like you made a good deal there..
that's a good swing there.
where did you get the new one for $216? lol.
nice tip :)
you made money
yes, but you signed contract with AT&T, which is not what everybody wants to do! That's why they're seeking for out-of-contract phones!
nice deal, but it not happen every day
I purchased the phone (and, yes, the 2 year contract) from the apple store. I don't plan on leaving AT&T any time soon so I renewing my contract wasn't a big deal.
If you have a 2G or 3G iphone and don't mind renewing your contract with AT&T for another 2 years, then go here to see if you qualify for an upgrade: http://www.apple.com/iphone/buy If you qualify, then immediately put your current phone on ebay. My brother sold his 2G 8GB phone for 170. My 2G 16GB went for 280. And, it looks like the 3G phones are going upwards to 400. It's a nice little flip. |
