Plotters for cutting vinyl - which should i buy?

I need a plotter to cut vinyl lettering for vehicles. I have to do several vehicles and dont want to have to deal with an expensive company every time to do it for me. What is the best one to buy in the 24" range? i wont be using it very often, but i dont want to buy a piece of junk.

We have 3 cutters. I purchased them here. The plotters get allot of use and we have never had one problem with any of the plotters or ink jets we purchased through this company.
I should also add, the customer service is top notch.

I have a 42" and 24" vinyl cutter, similar to these http://www.signwarehouse.com/cutters/ve/Q_series.html
and a 48" Mutoh wide format color printer

Mine are older as I mentioned, but I have never had to send them in nor have I had to have any on site repairs done.

Good luck :thumbsup

Try to buy the roland ploter cutter that one is good!!!!!

I was thinking of buying a plotter too, but i decided against it. It's not worth it. A decent one will cost at least 2-3k, and you will spend maybe $100 per car if its just lettering.

A printing plotter is even more expensive...

Roland plotters have issues tracking correctly. I have known a few people that have had a roland and were not too pleased.

That is not quit true......the ROI on these machines are excellent.

Check craigslist. There are a lot of sign shops going out of biz lately and you can get some good deals.
