The Atlanta Forum 2009~ Rooms on Sale NOW

The Atlanta Forum announces rooms to go on sale Monday, July 20th at 2pm EST (11am PST)
- Show organizers anticipate show hotel to sell out fast

Atlanta, Georgia ? July 20, 2009 -- Organizers of The Atlanta Forum today announced that the rooms at the official show hotel, W ? Perimeter Center, will go on sale this afternoon, Monday July 20th, 2009, at exactly 2pm EST (11am PST).

?We are expecting the rooms in the show hotel to sell out fairly quickly?, Tony Morgan, CEO of The Atlanta Forum, LLC, said. ?Based on the amount of calls we are already getting, the number of sponsors that are lining up, and the fact that our sister show, The Phoenix Forum, saw their rooms disappear in less than an hour at the Spring show, we are anticipating a quick sell out?. When asked about overflow hotels Morgan replied, ?Overflow hotels are being negotiated with now and will be released as necessary to accommodate those who missed out on the show hotel. While they will be somewhat close to the event, they will not be the same caliber of the W and we will certainly not be able to get the same pricing considerations we did for taking over an entire property?.

The Atlanta Forum, a sister show to the infamous Phoenix Forum, will be held September 10-12, 2009 at The W Hotel, Perimeter Center, in Atlanta, Georgia. The show promises to be the most business focused show on the calendar with more educational choices, more networking opportunities, and more chances to do business coupled with true southern charm and hospitality only found in the South. For more information on rooms, attendance or sponsorships visit http://www.theatlantaforum.com

Actually, we didnt raise the prices this year like some shows did...the rooms are the same prices as last year....in fact, we lowered the prices on the suites.

I guess we could have chosen a cheaper hotel but this is a "W" and it is super nice and we have the whole hotel....something we couldnt do just anywhere.

I still hope you will join us....it will be a great show!!

I hear you on the raised prices. I am skipping an upcoming show because I don't agree with the company's price gouging. To be honest my room at least year's Atlanta Forum was free from Pimp Mansion so I had no idea what they cost.

I had a great time last year and the service at the W was awesome. That's why I booked a room today anyway :winkwink:

I sent you a message on FB regarding ATL, but this may be faster. I am planning my bike ride to ATL and recalled that you had mentioned somewhere that was fairly close to ATL that was a "must" for motorcycles.

For some reason Blueridge Parkway is stuck in my head, but I am thinking I must have it confused with something else.

I am trying to plan it out so I know how many days I should plan on staying.

TIA

The biggest suite that the W has in the building is only $545 as opposed to last year we charged $745 and most shows that same suite would be $2000 per night.

I love the W, I wish all trade shows would "unite" and have their trade shows there. The benefits they give to gold members is awesome :thumbsup

$545 / night is a good price for a suite :thumbsup

Sharky 07-22-2009 07:12 PM

Just booked our rooms. Can't beat the prices compared to other shows. We could get a 1BR suite at the Atlanta forum for the price of a basic room at Internext. you just can't beat that.

I look forward to it Tony! This was a phenomenal show last year.. I look forward to it being even better in its 2nd year!

You might be thinking about the US 129, called the Tail of the Dragon, 311 turns in 11 miles..

Here is a blog from a guy who takes photos of people on the road...

Kill Boy Blog

Here is a local website for US 129

Depending on the days you are here, the W is real close to 400, and if you wanted to hit the mountains for a day ride, good roads are less than 35 minutes north. Let me know, we might be able to orgainize a little ride, if so I will bring my bike over to the W....

I am not a big motorcycle guy, but I know I have heard of these places so they must be cool. Bill, in my office, use to ride all the time so I bet he knows some good places, too.

My wife and I took the HD to North Georgia for a long weekend about 5 years ago and rode some of the mountain roads. I was very impressed with her - because my pegs were dragging around 1/2 of the turns in some of the mountain roads and she never once freaked out :1orglaugh

I'll be darned if I can remember what roads we took because we did the old "I wonder where this road goes" most of the weekend - I'm sure you know what I mean :thumbsup

However, this link might be helpful....

http://www.motorcycleroads.com/route...A/GA_index.htm

Certainly some beautiful places to ride in N. Georgia
