Final Cut Pro - Help
Hi all.
Got a small (MAJOR) problem. I've been on FCP for a while now and so far so good. However last night I ran into a tiny (MAJOR) problem. Sometimes, if I bring in HD footage and drop it into a sequence it asks me if I want my sequence settings to match the clip settings. I click "yes" and everything is good. Sometimes it doesn't do this because for whatever reason the settings are already matched up. Last night it didn't ask, and I edited a whole scene. The preview window looked like it was low quality which I figured was done by FCP to play the HD footage back at real time. It's never had a problem doing that before but I figured since Vegas had that option FCP did too. So I checked the sequence settings and saw they were set to standard def. I changed them to Hi Def which resized the preview window... but not the footage. The clips are displaying at SD and the frame size is HD. I can't seem to do anything to get them back up to normal HD size. Any ideas? All help is GREATLY appreciated. I've tried making a new sequence, and copying and pasting the clips from the messed up sequence, but the HD footage comes in as SD. Basically nothing changes. When I drag the clip from the bin into the new (proper) sequence it's HD. if I drag the same clip into the messed up sequence it displays as SD. Help... :( |

Can you import the hd footage, and do a replace clip/footage as in with premiere?

Modify>Scale to Sequence settings WOW. FCP is pretty cool. to bad I actually reedited that tease. It was just a few minute tease, so no biggie. Was more concerned how to fix it. |
