Anyone else having Firefox crashing issues?
I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 then 3.5.1 and both versions seem to have the same problem. When I first start it up at the beginning of the day often it just hangs and I have to restart it to get it to work. Then for no reason and without warning it will just shut down. Luckily it often will recover the session when I reload it, but it is starting to annoy me.
Anyone else having this issue? I never had any trouble with it until this upgrade. |
Yep.
Talked about it a week ago in Juicy's thread. It was crashing on various sites, and taking too long to load. Increased the cache, still did not solve all the issues. In the end, uninstalled it, and went back to an older version. |
I notice it on facebook, very clunky
mine calmed down i don't want 2 jinx it
Yup. It is killing me. It is actually coming to the point where it is freezing my whole computer and I have to hard reboot.
I might just go back to 3. |

But I'm not too far away from going back to an older version until this is figured out. |
Went back to 3 yesterday! And VERY happy I did!!!! This is the Firefox I know! :)

3.0.12 has been crashing for me a few times a day on my desktop pc.
are there any decent browsers out there left at all?
FF is crashing shit IE 8 is crashing shit Opera is stable but is very limited. fuck. |
I find that FF crashes every now and then for no reason :(
yes, I stopped using FF to browse GFY because it was crashing after every post.... started using google chrome, no issues and getting malware issues from gfy threads, could be why ff crashes here
I had problems with FF 3.5 crashing when I used the search box. If you've changed the search box location from its default it seems to cause problems
I been having issues with it this past week.
You fail as internet user if you use failed browsers like FF. Case closed.

Massive memory leaks... not sure if it's with FF 3.5.1 on in the rushed extensions, but my FF has been as high as 800MB in the task manager!
:helpme |
I'm using the new version of FF too and I haven't had any problems. 3.5.1 on a Mac.
Safari is a nice browser too. |
I have firefox, it was super fast at one time , now it takes forever to load!! WTF!!
I get some crazy error when I go on myspace but I should stay off there and work more.

Huge memory leaks. Right now I have been browsing for about an hour and it is just about a gig of memory usage. Nothing else being used  |
Never had those issues. Good luck, kane.
3.5.1 works fine for me - never crashed.
I've had problems with FF in the past like those described here when I've upgraded. I now do completed uninstall and re-install. |
been using combo of safari on the mac and Google Chrome on both pc/mac. Google chrome is quick, slick, and awesome.
