For all you adult vets!!- quality vs quantity?

OK, so here's my question to all you vets out there..

Do viewers/members, etc.. want to see quality over quantity..?

Meaning, should we focus on just blowing out thousands of sets for our loyal members and future ones... or should we focus on killer content and try and stand out on front of the pack with really nice content but still keep it moving with a decent amount of content.

I'm gearing towards the question of whether Quality is better -- or just a bunch of content?

I'm sure this has been discussed before..but I'd like some fresh responses with today's economic crunch involved.

Say someone says "Let's not worry about quality.. lets just focus on content."

or say someone says "Lets not worry about so much content, lets focus on quality"..

Does one out-weigh the other?

you should go here and buy every single itim they have in store http://www.amazingcontent.com

if you dont, you will fail.

Look at it this way - when a surfer pays to get access to your memberarea, do you think he/she will be satisfied if all they get is crappy filler content? or do you think they will charge back the membership fee?

All i guy needs, is one photo to jerk too... or 5 minutes of video.

So Quality!

Quality, now it's more important than ever. You can get quantity for Free easily, and most likely quality too. So you have to deliver THE BEST product to succeed, just beeing good is not enough anymore.....

Chicken/Egg If you want to get a member they have to want what you have. If you want to keep the member you have to keep suppling it.(updates)

Libertine 07-24-2009 03:25 PM

Both, obviously. There's so much free porn out there that you need quality as a selling point, but at the same time, the customer will expect quantity as well.

xxxTILTxxx 07-24-2009 03:59 PM

good responses so far..

I personaaly would think its about Quality over Quantity any day.. as long as you keep a decent amount of updates..

but then there lies another question how many updates.. weekly, monthy? Some affilliates out there havent done any updates since '08 and the quality of that content isn't even above average..

Allison 07-24-2009 05:05 PM

My 2cents is there's a bare min amount of quality. So say on a scale of 1 to 10 surfers want a 6. Going up for 6 to 10 has diminishing returns.

On the other hand with quantity, and more speaking in the update sense then actual quantity, they want a 10, but will be okay with and 8 to 10. They want daily updates and always knowing that something new is coming.

You could give them a database of 20k videos, but if there are no updates, they'll get bored, thinking they've seen it all, which is unlikely.

Focus on making the best product and over time you will have the quantity :thumbsup

Quality to get them in the door.. quantity to keep them there.

bronco67 07-24-2009 07:28 PM

I'd say quality, because one good clip is equal to about 50 mediocre ones....not unlike women.

2MuchMark 07-24-2009 08:17 PM

Q u a l i t y.

woj 07-24-2009 08:17 PM

quality for sure :thumbsup

xxxTILTxxx 07-25-2009 11:54 AM

looks like most are leaning towards QUALITY

Appreciate all the input.

SilentKnight 07-25-2009 01:41 PM

Another vote for quality.

CDSmith 07-25-2009 02:18 PM

Set a standard of quality, then work on quantity all the while adhering to that original standard of quality.

In other words both are important.

I wouldn't keep clicking links on a tgp if all the galleries were crappy, generic, average or below average stuff, would you?

Neither would I stay a member of a pay site where all the content was average or below average or all of it cookie-cutter looking.

Perfectly said. :2 cents:

It's all about fulfilling your customers fantasy for that moment, whatever it may be or who it may be of. Nothing more, nothing less. Be it that one photo or that few minutes of a video. It doesn't matter if it's shot in HD or shot with a cell phone... if it turns him on and gets him off, you did your job and he is happy.

However, if you can keep fulfilling his fantasies, he will stick around. If you can't keep doing that, or he can download all those fantasies in a few hours, he will and then he's gone.

So my answer is QUALITY. But "quality" is relative, so it's never an easy nut to crack. I prefer home videos of real boyfriends and girlfriends, to me thats better than anything.

Barefootsies 07-25-2009 04:09 PM

It is a mix of quality and quantity. Sorry.

If you think you are going to make money in this market, industry, or economy doing artsy fartsy HD and releasing 1-2 scenes a week. You're mistaken.

Sure. You can get some inital sign ups. But they are not going to stay members. You are competing with the tube site models where every day they get new content, and lots of it.

You need to offer at minimum 5 days a week updates, if not every day. Your quality needs to be a minimum of a 6-7 on the 1-10 scale. You need to be able to crank out the content, or buy it, with enough margin left over to stay in business.

Most can't do this.

At the end of the day you are in the online game to MAKE FUCKING MONEY. Not pretty pictures. Yes. You want to have a quality product. But you are in this to make a living. Not win the Paul Markham picture award.

Find a niche that sells. Shoot at a quality you can maximize your margins. Then crank it out like a mofo so you can stay competitive or kill your competition with sheer volume in udpates.

:2 cents:
