what in the fuck kind of spider is this?

I was walking across my condo and saw this little fucker run under the couch.

http://www.18ish.com/wtfspider.jpg

instead of trying to pull him out with a broom I just moved the whole couch away from the wall (I had cats... hence all the hair and I don't think I've ever cleaned underneath my couch) and had to snap a pic of this thing. Overall it was a little bigger than a silver dollar including legs.

I smashed the fucker good, cleaned under the couch and put my shoes back on after checking them.

Should I be worried about this thing or is it just creeping me out?

Scott McD 07-25-2009 06:54 AM

Oh shit !!

I'd probably have run out the house screaming like a girl.

(me no likey spiders) :(

jmcb420 07-25-2009 06:58 AM

If it's a wolf spider, it's harmless. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Machete_ 07-25-2009 07:44 AM

lots of pubic hair on your floor - nasty

I got drunk and decided to shave my taint next to my couch one night and it must have just made it's way under there. :1orglaugh

We have a lot of spiders around our yard and such (they web up our cars nightly) and we have to have the house sprayed for them on a regular basis. You get used to them, just part of living by the lake

Manowar 07-25-2009 07:57 AM

wolf spiders look creepy as fuck but are generally harmless

John-ACWM 07-25-2009 11:27 AM

An ugly kind for sure. And I can't remember a nice kind.

d-null 07-25-2009 03:07 PM

wolf spiders are harmless and good at eating bugs around, looks like a female you killed there

That's a black widow, very deadly.

PurrrsianPussyKat 07-25-2009 06:20 PM

You "had" cats? Where did they go? Did the spider eat them?

P.S. If you still had cats, they'd most likely have eaten that thing.

VeriSexy 07-25-2009 07:41 PM

Beats me... but I'd crush it though

Valerie82 07-25-2009 08:02 PM

this was one of them... technically they were my ex's cats... 3 of them. So when I broke up with her and she moved out, she didn't have a place for them and I didn't want them as a constant reminder of her - so I gave them up. They found a good home.

As I was looking for a shoe to squash the thing with it kept running around and I kept having to chase it and block it so it didn't run somewhere I couldn't get to.

It flashed into my head "So... When are you going to let me hit that?"

TiaLing 07-25-2009 11:28 PM

Yuck .... looks like some of the things i saw in costa rica a week ago ... tia

Same here. I'd kill it for sure. When I was a kid we would find few big spiders and get two together in a jar. Little later they would make start to figh until one is dead. You could see the moment one bites the other and the biten starts to twich and eventually die. Really really scary. Scarier than any horror movie. Lucky us they dont get to big, I thing that spider one meter long would torn lions and tigers just like that.
