I have a Leatherman, but I never wear it out. It is more to have on my belt when I am working on jobs around the house.

Oh and how are you going to protect yourself when you bring a swiss army knife to a GUN FIGHT ????????:helpme |
yeah why not, it always comes in handy
I have a concealed knife in a belt buckle that I wear every day. Great for getting past club bouncers.
nah, only handgrenades
It's forbidden in the UK. I know a guy that was convicted for that. Crazy law.
Get a Gerber.
But when I am in my home country I always carry one :) I can't even imagine any trip without it. :)

Sometimes a box cutter, at least you can tell the cops you need it for work. I almost carried it though homeland security at the airport...but luckely they told us to throw out our bottled water and I remembered I had the box cutter in my jacket...and also threw it away....my wife would have been so pissed if we missed our flight to Hawaii over this.
I carry a Xikar Pocket knife, cigar cutter and lighter. Needless to say I don't leave home without a belt.
Nope, why would you carry one? Self defence? That's not the Country I grew up in....
I might also add that where I come from, pulling a knife on someone is one of the most "coward" things you can do.
Yep, a Leatherman for the times a .357 might wake somebody up unnecessarily.
yeah an orange girly one with a sewing kit and flash light on the side.
its just a tool, no plan on stabbing anyone. :1orglaugh |
I've carried the same simple 2-blade knife in a small black sheath on my belt for almost 20 years. I use it most often for opening letters and boxes.
http://outlawfreeporn.com/fun/12388445772958.jpg I think I've been asked to take it off once (other than airports). In 1988 I forgot I had it on my belt as I went through security at the Zurich airport in Switzerland. They actually let me keep it - that would never happen today. I have at least 12 hunting knives but the two that are always with me (either in my pack or on my belt are the Puma Skinner and the Puma Lord http://outlawfreeporn.com/fun/12371490394174.jpg http://outlawfreeporn.com/fun/12353443718768.jpg When I'm in the field working I now carry a Leatherman Wave. And don't even get me started on my hand made knife collection and the three original Indian knifes I have from the 1810-1830's. Not much for fighting knives - I've known enough special forces guys that would just take it from you and kill you with your own knife - they taught me to never bring a knife to a gun fight. |
Never really liked carrying them around
I take the train in NYC all the time late at night, always gotta carry something.
Yep, I perpetually have my Gerber multi tool on my belt and my Moore Maker stag handle folder in my pocket. They're both for purely utilitarian purposes. Though I guess if I had some gang of motherfuckers up in my shit I could brandish it, but even that's a huge liability. I'm much more comfortable dealing crippling damage with my hands.
