A girl I'm working with is sitting here with me talking about this "company" that has girls do "test work" before they "sign them" to work with them.

I have never heard of this shit before other than about guys with no connections to the industry that get girls to go hook up wiht them for free in hopes of landing them paying gigs. So I ask her a few more questions...

She basically tells me that it was some guy she contacted who said he needed to do a test run with her to see if she can "perform." I asked if there was a camera involved, she said no. I asked if it was at a studio or some location she said no, it was where this guy lived. Then she tells me that he emails her back later about some other guy needing a freebie.

I googled the company name and a bunch of shit came up but found nothing porn related. She said all she found was an address and a phone number. Maybe it IS real company but I doubt this guy works for them.

snaker - the ad she responded to was a "production assistant" or fluffer job and it was supposed to be on going. "we need you for 8-10 hours a week to do this pay is $100 an hour" is what the ad said.

SilentKnight - I have definitely advised her to steer clear of this guy and have advised her that she can ask me to check anyone out for her, whether googling it or asking you guys here.

BadDog - She responded to an ad on Craigslist and now that she's sitting here telling me about the ad - I have seen it to and thought it was complete bullshit.

a few times girls will contact you and request to come and do an audition, but in reality those chicks are always wacky..
however, i see nothing wrong with doing an audition, honestly we hire these girls to do a job without knowing if they can do decent job.. some have a portfolio and some have past experience and a track record, but many new girls do not.. why should we take a chance that they can do the job, as a producer we invest easily $5k in a shoot..

Sounds like she is lucky she didn't end up strangled in a dumpster anywhere. Would be a perfect set up for someone trying to lure in victims. Think about it, most girls would probably keep it to themselves the were going to audition for porn and walk into a situation where they are vulnerable. Someone could even use legitimate company names knowing if it got googled it would show up but that a lot of newbies wouldn't know proper protocol for starting in the business.
