Microsoft's Bing technology will be powering Yahoo's searches according to CNBC 5 minutes ago. That is the most detail I have heard on the agreement so far. So if you have SEO positions for a site from Yahoo but not Bing this is bad.

I could handle that, would be nice for sure.

Agreed. I prefer more competition.

At this rate, soon Google is going to find themselves in the crosshairs of an antitrust lawsuit like M$ was. They keep creeping closer to that with some of their latest motivations.

Bing seems obsessed with my Wordpress archive pages that don't do shit for me on the other SE's. I was thinking about nofollow/noindexing them so my PR didn't leak to them. Guess I shouldn't do that now.

Bing is pretty good, less spam results more cleaner listing. I'm all for bing

yahoo's algorithm is totally fucked

if you have a quality site, you have much better chances to rank on Bing.com

not sure what you find amusing, google has close to 75% of the market share, so that's where the big boys play, amateurs get their traffic from yahoo...

tube sites are not dominating bing serps... :thumbsup

Bing and Yahoo have about 30% of the search market and I think Microsoft in backing Bing for the long term so expect them to grow via some heavy marketing and integration with their software.

Google has to be nervous. Despite people saying they are taking over the world, they only have one profitable product, and that is search. If Yahoo/Bing can start chipping away at that, Google has very little recourse.

I would predict you are going to see some major changes from Google search which has been pretty stagnate for years.

With Google starting to fill the 1rst page SERPs with all their own junk(news,blogs,tubes,images,etc.), I'm thinking there might be some shifting to B+Y for searching.

I get more hits from Bing than I do Yahoo now so this is pretty good news for me :)
