Move your business to Michigan...

I guess it's good to be global, growing and be in the hardest hit state in the country.

We've had a job listing up on Craig's List for one hour and already received 29 resumes. Wow! :thumbsup

Amen toe dat shit.

I have 70-100 chicks contacting me a week wanting to model for us. It is fucking insane! Before this economy, it was 12-25 a week. But it's been off the hook for 18 months at least.

Even when I have hired some part timers, lawn boy, cleaning lady, etc.. I have too many people applying! You almost need to hire someone to sift through the applicants. It really is fucking crazy the past two years.

:2 cents:

That would be an easy application.

Requirements:

1. Can you hold your liquor?
2. Do you own a hula shirt(s)?

:winkwink:

Luckily for my experience, a lot of people applying for work do not have the basic skills. Whether they call me on the phone, or send me an e-mail applying for work, or even asking for additional information.

They blow their first impression right out of the gate so I can just hit delete and move on.

:thumbsup

people are hurting for jobs in Michigan.

I posted ads in Philly and got a lot of people in Michigan asking if they can work from home

I hear you there!

In the past 2-3 months, I have had a lot of northern Indiana people applying. My first question in every one of their interviews is, 'So,.. why would you want to drive here, which must be a minimum of an hour away from home, to do this type of work?"

They all tell me it is because they cant' find a job where they are at. Or they are already working 2 jobs, and want a third.

Fucking crazy.

Thankfully, no! Yeah, it would be absurd I'm sure.

Fucking crazy.

It's really rough out there, hard not to have empathy for all those out of work.

A situation in which no one is applying would also be hard I guess. So it's better this way than the other.

Actually Brad, we are up to 40 resumes in just over 2 hours.

Sid70 07-29-2009 01:04 PM

We have other ads running and interviews scheduled for the continued growth of technical support.

This one in particular which apparently will have a hundred resumes in by tomorrow is for accounting. LOL
