Official F.U.B.A.R. Hone Pot Winners (PICS)
 

Back in April, the first round of Hone Pots were handed out at The Phoenix Forum. They came with instructions on how to grow the contents (forget-me-nots) in the cute little containers. They also came with a contest. After 3 months of planting, nurturing, growing and for some, watching them die or get pitched in the trash by co-workers, the time has come to announce the winners.

Many tears were flowing out of my eyes when mine kicked the bucket and got tossed. I still think about it to this day. I even painted her shoes black and was about to add fishnets

Our Hone Pot died a miserable death... suffered for about 3 months.. then, I finally put her to rest. it was fun while it lasted!!!

Mine died. I think I over watered or something. Congrats to the winners!

Plus, they sat in a sunny window sill their entire life.

Drainage is key. Like Chris said poking holes in the bottom is one thing to do. The other would be to lift all the dirt early on and put some small rocks in the bottom of the pot.

Drainage baby, drainage.


Sorry to all those who lost theirs. It's always tough losing a plant.

Mine got a ton of sun, but I didn't think about the drainage. D'oh! Good job, Chris!
