How to download a lot of files by ftp that have the same name?
I am using Flashfxp(love that program) Anyway.
I want to download a lot of FLV files over ftp. /myserver/folder1/trailer.flv ---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder2/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder3/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder4/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder5/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder6/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder7/trailer.flv---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ /myserver/folder8/trailer.flv ---->c:\whatever\flvfiles\ But the problem is, that all files do have the same name. When I download these files to my folder, I get the option to overwrite, or skip. How I can download all these files at once to my HDD in ONE folder? |
Download them with the folders aswell?
Or just rename them trailer1.flv trailer2.flv etc and put the name back once you got them? |
Not sure if thats possible with FlashFXP
What maybe is easier is to just download them, keep the folder structure, and then go to c:\whatever\flvfiles and do a windows search for *.flv in that window. They will all show up, select all and copy and paste into another dir. Windows will then ask to overwrite, or gives you the option to save as trailer[1].flv, trailer[2].flv, etc. Not sure if you can press Apply To All on that tho. |
I think that's more of a job for SSH.
