Obama in his own words saying His Health Care Plan will eliminate private insurance
As usual Obama's empty rhetoric attempts to mask the true nature of his unpopular big government polices. :disgust
|
Only a retarded right winger would even give a fuck about your point.

I understand that you leftists are happy to use any measure of dishonesty or obfuscation to try and advance your big government agenda but that does not mean that the rest of us have to sit in silence and watch it happen. :winkwink: |
One thing I notice about all this talk about US politics on GFY is most people who run their mouth arent even in the US.
Canadians and Europeans have more interest in Obama threads than I do as an American, that should tel ya something... which is why you dont see me arguing in obama threads but see lots of foreign locations lolz |

Honestly do you still hold ALL the same views you had years ago or perhaps did actually living life maybe causes you to change your views? |

Man I am glad the people are wakeing up to this guy. This is what he believes in plain and simple. He is a leftist and this is not surprising to anyone. The left has over stepped again, they took over the banks, they took over the car industry and now this.
Even in his own words people don't believe he means this, that is funny!. |

And personally, let the insurance companies burn..... it's what they would do to you. |
Who can forget GWB, who started this, but where is the change. Change is to do the opposite right?.

Great! Kill them now. The quicker the better. Put some of them in jail too. Their corrupt scheme is evil. Any Americans who support the way the insurance companies have been running healthcare simply must have Stockholm syndrome. There's no other sane explanation.
If you don't hate the American health insurance industry already, you just haven't gotten sick enough yet. |

FACTS given the opportunity to get rid of "socialized" programs like Social Security( hell socialism is IN the name for Christ's sake ) and Medicare all the anti-government idiots would vote to KEEP both programs. Hmmmm. Ron Paul might be the lone exception. Please explain the others. all members of Congress INCLUDING the anti-government run healthcare people get their insurance from THE GOVERNMENT. if it's so bad why do they use it. Nearly ALL anti-government run healthcare people will use medicare and cash their SS checks when they are old enough to receive benefits. HYPOCRISY anyone? And of course ALL the anti-government people that claim the government is at best incompetent and at worst corrupt, perhaps both, are part of that government. So they are essentially admitting they are either incompetent and/or corrupt. |

GatorB, I am not going to call you a stupid name like tard!. I would get rid of all of these socialised bullshit! programs. That's the facts, SS gone, medicare gone and so on. I wish Ron Paul had a chance to be elected, but the suckers! that rely on government for their existence will never let that happen.

most of this is because of the bullshit prices that doctors and medical offices have to pay for insurance.
my family doctor had to close up shop about 3 years ago because of medical malpractice insurance got to expensive. my parents super fat neighbor sued his surgeon twice because he said he botched his knee replacement. well if you weight 400+ pounds, you shouldnt be trying to play basketball. sick how this country is setup sometimes. if i dont like what the doctor did or prescribed, i can sue and most likely win |
will never happen

Single payer system is the only way to go.
If there is a private component, then the insurance companies are only going to take the healthy and dump the unhealthy onto the government. What the GOP doesn't want to admit is that the single payer system will save the U.S. money. Otherwise, private insurance companies reap profits from the healthy and the Treasury takes on the unhealthy. Stop listening to lobbyists, think tanks and politicians and use some common sense. |

Urban dictionary defines this as: This is an emphasis on the congealed mess that the bureaucratic superstate that the EU (European Union) is similar to the USSR, in that it is a politically left leaning, bureaucratic purveyor of Marxism and red tape. ...stop talking about our continent and fix yours... :2 cents: |

But unfortunately, the reason for that is that in the US, many doctors choose to practice "defensive medicine". That includes things like doing tests which are useless in a specific case merely because showing that you have done them comes in handy in a court case, or performing procedures which are utterly unnecessary but in court cases could be used as proof that the "highest possible standard of care" was delivered. Here are two good pieces on it: http://www.aaos.org/news/bulletin/ja.../clinical2.asp http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content...ct/293/21/2609 If you look at the stats reported in those articles, it's clear that incredible amounts of money are being thrown away to protect doctors from lawsuits. Still, it definitely is only part of the problem. Private insurance companies do play a large role in driving up costs. Just look at California, where their profits and administrative costs combined add up to more than $10 billion a year. (source: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/112837.php ) Also, keep in mind that they have a tendency to pass on costs to the taxpayer anyway, by refusing patients with pre-existing conditions and thus only taking the least costly customers. |
I wouldn't mind a goverment sort of healthcare.... I mean whats the highest cost asisde from mortgage/rent people pay each month? Healthcare.
How many people do you know have died due to not being able to have medical coverage or had to file for bankruptcy due to medical bills? You think 500k or 1mil coverage is enough? Think again a few days in ICU and related operations will kill that coverage real fast. The health industry is one of the biggest scams in the world. Charging people outrageous rates for basic items like gloves, syringes etc. |

thank you for the example of what prejudice can do to the ability of the mind to understand simple words.
here is something to think about (and argue with, for that matter).. if it's so terrible, why would it succeed? wouldn't everyone just go for the private insurance option? they said a zillion times now that the private health option is still going to be there. |

COMMON SENSE IS NOT ALLOWED ON GFY! If you're going to make sense and make valid arguments, you're not welcome here! ;) Now, let me buy you a beer. Oh wait, since the racists are usually homophobic too, I am not trying to molest or convert the guy, OK? |

This dude especially gets that sort of attention from me because i think he's smart enough to do a lot of good... ...rather than spew propaganda for an entirely (cough cough) different nation about a service he already enjoys. Hope you like Stella Artois! |

'the best example of a free market we have' same goes for any sort of example i use for freedom. furthermore, i respect your opinion and most everything you say, but when did you get in bed with the corporates? these people are raising rates and laughing at the numbers. I wonder if these current rate increases are to pay for the amount of propaganda being spewed out. For example, the repubs just put up a canadian woman saying she had to mortgage her house to get an operation. lets say that again. she mortgaged her house for a 100k operation that she could have gotten THAT day for FREE in Canada if it had been life threatening. She could have gotten it FREE if she simply just waited in line so people who needed it could get the operation THAT day. it's so terrible, they are promoting our healthcare without even realizing it. |

if you care to read the entire 900+ page bill in the house http://docs.house.gov/edlabor/AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf page 16 has a provision under the heading Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage... it does nothing of the sort. It basically eliminates the private option over time. Just like Obama states as his goal in the above video. Maybe I should believe what they tell me instead of my lying eyes when I read the bill.. :( |
I wish we could fire all of the politicians and just start over.
|
Great news! So by the very act of Obama saying this will eliminate privatized insurance, that pretty much guarantees it WON'T HAPPEN! :D
|
Do you believe that YOU and everybody else will get the same kind of healthcare that the morons in congress get?
