Do you keep track of your content?
Those of you who build free sites, galleries, etc.... do you keep track of the content, banners, urls, etc that you put online? I have always used a binder and/or notebook and kept track of the url, pic info (so I dont reuse the same sets), banner info, type of page, sponsor and site, and anything else extra (like submissions) for every page/site/gallery. It is a bit time consuming but it makes it easier if I have to go back and do something like pull a page from a dead sponsor...
Do you guys keep track or just throw stuff up and forget it and if you do keep track of it, how do you do it? |
If you don't, you should.

bump....

One thing that may make the job just a little bit easier...
Install TALS (it's free) and just create a new link for each page or whatever. For the link name, just insert something that will make the most sense for you. |
Create a similar folder structure online so it corresponds to the locatioin on your harddrive

Anyone else do anything similar/different? |
I would love to use a FTP program that syncs up with the server... any suggestions? one site I run has 10 GB of pics and stuff on it... I know it would go ALOT faster if I could just CRTL-S and it uploads everything that changed.

One last bump for other input....
