Do you keep track of your content?

Those of you who build free sites, galleries, etc.... do you keep track of the content, banners, urls, etc that you put online? I have always used a binder and/or notebook and kept track of the url, pic info (so I dont reuse the same sets), banner info, type of page, sponsor and site, and anything else extra (like submissions) for every page/site/gallery. It is a bit time consuming but it makes it easier if I have to go back and do something like pull a page from a dead sponsor...

Do you guys keep track or just throw stuff up and forget it and if you do keep track of it, how do you do it?

If you don't, you should.

One thing that may make the job just a little bit easier...

Install TALS (it's free) and just create a new link for each page or whatever.

For the link name, just insert something that will make the most sense for you.

I do that in addition to the notebooks.

Anyone else do anything similar/different?

I would love to use a FTP program that syncs up with the server... any suggestions? one site I run has 10 GB of pics and stuff on it... I know it would go ALOT faster if I could just CRTL-S and it uploads everything that changed.

well, you could use www.totalcommander.com to compare and sync between offline and online folders via FTP

and Dreamweaver does that too
