I always assumed only hours are different time wise around the world like in When its 1AM in NY its 1PM in Philippines turns out in some countries the minutes are different too, just interesting for those who didnt know

New to me too

in the old days: pre mass transit, every area had their own time set by the sun or however they chose. time didn't become standardized until the railroads hooked everything up in the USA. I thinik I read that once a year at midnight all the trains pull over and stop on the track while they sort the time out...
