The latest female celebrity trend that men probably aren't going to like

http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons1/...akeup_Look.jpg

Shaved or waxed-off eyebrows.

Being called the "emotionless look" or some such nonsense, supposedly it's catching on more and more. The above chick seems to pull it off okay but as for the masses I can't see myself liking it anytime soon. As in never. Ha.

Your thoughts on this would be...?

redwhiteandblue 08-11-2009 05:38 AM

Wait until they grow back all bushy!

pornguy 08-11-2009 05:44 AM

Whoopie will be so fucking happy that after 25 years people are doing the same thing she does.

Bojangles 08-11-2009 06:08 AM

I don't like it.

seeandsee 08-11-2009 06:12 AM

aliens!!!!

cherrylula 08-11-2009 06:13 AM

Marilyn Manson has been doing that forever.

Vicious_B 08-11-2009 06:23 AM

She is amazingly beautiful but even on her that is a little strange looking. I don't care how popular it may get, not something I will ever do.

ShellyCrash 08-11-2009 06:27 AM

Very 80's. Reminds me of Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks:

fatfoo 08-11-2009 06:28 AM

Don't like it. Emotionless indeed...

Trax 08-11-2009 06:36 AM

show me ONE celebrity who has done that
and i mean celeb

Hank_Heartland 08-11-2009 06:49 AM

Great look for zombies and goth chicks:thumbsup

CDSmith 08-11-2009 06:50 AM

It seems to be mostly models and a few so-called supermodels doing it... but if high-end models are doing it you know it's just a matter of time and it'll be as commonplace as tongue rings.

Brazillian supermodel Adriana Lima for one..

It was also the "tough trivia" question of the day today on local radio --- "What is the latest female celeb trend that men won't like?"

This going without eyebrows thing was the winning answer.

candyflip 08-11-2009 06:53 AM

What female celebrities have done this, seeing that you've got it listed as a CELEBRITY trend?

Edit: I see someone asked.

Vicious_B 08-11-2009 06:54 AM

I think the over plucked look is ridiculous, this is just a worse version of that trend.

halfpint 08-11-2009 06:55 AM

nasty nasty and nasty

justinsain 08-11-2009 07:06 AM

That's just plain stupid.

The way a woman shapes here eyebrows to " frame " her eyes can have a huge effect on her overall look. The only thing more influential would be her hair color.

I hate trends that are " fashionable " but clearly looks stupid and often times down right ugly and don't even get me started on today's bikini styles for girls :upsidedow

CDSmith 08-11-2009 07:09 AM

Hell if I know who's done it. Aren't supermodels considered celebs? That last one I posted is the 4th highest paid model in the world right now apparently, I'd say that qualifies her as a celeb but what the hell do I know?

Quotes from what I think may be one of the leading articles about this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/be...#ixzz0LWHTU8ST
Quote:

The model is starring in the autumn advertising campaign for Parisian fashion house Givenchy, with her brows bleached to oblivion.
But what's interesting is that she is not alone: this small but significant statement is rapidly becoming a trend in high fashion circles.
Her co-stars in the Givenchy campaign have all had their brows bleached or even removed, creating a startling uniformity amid male and female faces.

At the Balenciaga and Prada autumn catwalk shows, the models had their eyebrows taken off so they looked like a parade of alien-like figures - more sci-fi movie heroines than aspirational fashion figures.
Dutch model Lara Stone is another who leads the way with this trend: with her gap-teeth and bleached brows, the 25-year-old was the must-have model during the last round of designer collections, securing slots with Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Givenchy.
British model Kristen McMenamy appears on the cover of Italian Vogue's August issue sans eyebrows, and anecdotally it seems many young women are now ridding themselves of the small lines of hair that frame their eyes.
Hell guys don't get all with the attitude here, I actually hope it doesn't catch on. Hello?

Of course we can argue about whether or not supermodels are celebs if you want. Post your arguments.

sexandcash 08-11-2009 07:09 AM

eehhhhhhhhhhhhh... seems more "runway" and less "practical fashion."
No big name celeb is gonna go for this shit....

Dennis69 08-11-2009 07:09 AM

I'm not fussy on that look either... eyesbrows can really make a women's eye's standout!!

Sarah_Jayne 08-11-2009 07:18 AM

That is not going to look great on the zillion teenage copycats.

Does it affect my cock fitting in her mouth? No?

I'm ok with it then.

gornyhuy 08-11-2009 07:35 AM

not a fan.

tranza 08-11-2009 07:40 AM

I don't like that!

Miguel T 08-11-2009 07:40 AM

That looks wierd!

Fletch XXX 08-11-2009 07:40 AM

almost every single actress you see in a film has Botox on her eyebrows so they dont move already, using the "emotionless' angle is null since they already kill the cells in their eyebrows with botox... news anchors do it too... well the ones making money do...

nicole kidmans eyebrows havent moved in decades LOL

What a horrifying look. There is nothing "human female" about that picture. Sick man, sick.

CurrentlySober 08-11-2009 08:10 AM

I blame Poppy Morgan..

bobby666 08-11-2009 08:12 AM

Jesus.. WTF goes on in their dumb ass girls heads, that make them think, men actually like this stuff? One of the biggest pet peeves I have is chicks that shave off their eyebrows then "paint" them back on.

I swear to god when I see girls whom do that, I have to second guess if they are a tranny or not in many cases. However this is just plane dumb..

Jade509 08-11-2009 08:36 AM

Agreed. When I see girls doing this it reminds me of Neo after he took the red pill, got released, slid down that tube and the good guys plucked him out of the sewage he landed in.

I can't think of one instance where the no-eyebrows thing looks hot on a woman, or anyone for that matter.

Tom_PM 08-11-2009 08:58 AM

Just had to look at that again. Damn dont you just want to put the face underwater and scrub everything off with a scouring pad? Need a freakin paint scraper on that one.

theS2O 08-11-2009 09:00 AM

Looks weird..

If she sat next to you on a 6 hour flight somewhere what would you have to talk about I wonder?

L-Pink 08-11-2009 09:14 AM

Doesn't bother me, I like my women wearing leather hoods.

Nicky 08-11-2009 09:19 AM

I don't like.

We could discuss how to plaster a wall, and how to prevent a skim coat from cracking.

lol, just kidding. I'm polite. But that is clearly a made for glam shot, not normal everyday makeup, so it probably wouldnt come up.

TheAmericanCannibal 08-11-2009 09:47 AM

It looks as though girls will have that " surprised" look.

Which isn't all bad for you guys with big cocks.
I mean most of us get that when we drop our pants- but now even medium dicked sized guys can experience it.

Monique Niccole 08-11-2009 10:13 AM

You're only going to see this on the runway or in high-end editorial shoots. This probably isn't going to bleed over to your average Hollywood star and definitely not real girls.

It looks interesting for a magazine layout though.

Can I quote you on that? Oh wait... I just did.

Actually I've read in more than one newsarticle on this that it already has filtered out to "real girls". In fact it mentions it in the very article I link in above post.

"British model Kristen McMenamy appears on the cover of Italian Vogue's August issue sans eyebrows, and anecdotally it seems many young women are now ridding themselves of the small lines of hair that frame their eyes."

"Many young women".... hmm, sounds like real girls to me.

Well, I guess me and my thin eyebrows are finally ahead of the curve.

Raf1 08-11-2009 10:59 AM

that looks awful...

FightThisPatent 08-11-2009 11:08 AM

eyebrowless is very versatile.

you can just paint them back on if you want that look, or wash it off to go without

;)

Fight the mirror mirror!
