WP people...

Question for you WP people. I'm toying with the idea of converting my blogs to WP to use a custom RSS set up for my management. The draw back to WP as I see it, is all the constant updates for fixes, options or security updates.

It would be a full time job keeping 50 to 100 blogs updated even with the one click option. I'm wondering if there is any way to do a mass update on all the installs? If so is there a certain way I need to set things up?

Security isnt a drawback, if it is, don't use it.

My host (mojohost) easily updates wordpress on all of my blogs without any problems. Easy as cake for them to do it server side.

I don't see how that would work. Wordpress 2.8.3 doesn't play nicely with one of my plugins. In fact, every time I upgrade I usually come across one problem that conflicts with one of my plugins. Being as my host doesn't know about my plug ins or how they work and what they should look like, I wouldn't want anyone updating WP for me.

keep a database of the domain names the installations are on.. then write a script that copies the newly changed files into those domains...
Just make sure the script deletes (unlinks) the wp-content directory before copying so no templates, plugins, etc are overwritten.
