Best Swag / Freebees over the years?
 

To expand on a post I made in a previous thread, what are some of your favorite freebees, comps, swag or promo items you've recieved over the years?

Here are a few of mine:

Free transportation- stretching out in a limo after escaping an airport is such a great perk. Thanks NetBilling and WebBilling

The Girlfriends Films pink pen. Just you're average pen. Not sure if it's gel ink or not but it's quality and it lives in my purse now. Probably cost a few extra cents per peice, but totally worth the upgrade.

RoboMail's silver sharpies they gave away over the weekend @ Internext- these are great anytime, but can come especially in handy at shows when encountering the double sided glossy / UV coat business cards

The Porn Poker Tour's "Fucking River!" t-shirt. I usually don't think of shirts as great swag, especially after I found litterally a stack of adult internet swag shirts at a Goodwill, but this is one I really wear.

The TopBucks (I am pretty sure it was Topbucks) business card booklet I got at Cybernet Expo in San Diego

The Internext desk set with the silver pen and pen holder. I can't remember what year it was from but I think everyone who did a booth at Vegas might have gotten one from AVN Online. Chris would probably know. It was silver and really nice and I had it out on my desk for a long time.

And last but not least, Netbilling's lighters. When I smoked these were a total lifesaver! Go through an airport, get your lighters nabbed... and there's Mitch and crew to save the day!


I kinda shit on contests. I've never received ANYTHING I've ever won in a contest. :(


So what swag have you enjoyed? Any company promos you felt were really useful to you and effective branding for the sponsor who provided them?

I had a PeCash lighter for a while as well, totally forgot about that. :thumbsup

The best was the free 3 year subscription to Maxim-Stuff-FHM that Lensman posted on here maybe 7 years ago or so.

One of the most popular things I've ever seen were the Xamo laser pointers we gave our years ago. We ran out of them the first day and had people asking us for some the rest of the weekend. They were useless but VERY popular.

I think I remember those, didn't they have interchangeable parts so the pointer would say something funny?

If I recall correctly, no. There were some with just the pointer and others had a thumbs up sign. I remember looking at female asses all weekend and those damn pointers would be there...some with the thumbs up and others with the thumb down.

not this year, but the best i ever got was the adult.com jacket. Still have it :)

Actually, now that Media got me thinking of it, gifts in the mail received from sponsors / biz parters should be included too.

Got a box of XThreadz shirts from Xpays. That was pretty cool. It was way back, but I stil remember it. I think I still have a few kicking around too.

Camz sent a really nifty cookie bouquet. Each cookie said Camz on it. :)

I think my fave gift though comes from an individual associate I've done alot of work with over the years, every so often he sends me Harry and David pears. <3

I saw those, I so want a pair for the inflight movies/tv.

James from Niche Shops told me someone was giving away some sweet blue aviators by the pool in Miami, but I went back and couldn't find them. I live for aviators. I have a pretty awesome picture of him rocking them too, but haven't pulled everything off my camera yet.

For straight up show swag, I love the beach towels - they are great for camping - and Orbital Pay did frisbees last year that we play with a lot. The Epoch travel mouse was really nice, and I keep my Mr. Limpie from xBiz Summer Forum '07 on my desk.

Also, pretty much everyone I know lives for the GayGreenBack Mints and digs through the party bags for 'em every time.
