SEO guys, help me start myself.

Where should I start when getting into basic SEO? Everyone claims to be an SEO expert, but where does the good info really come from? Point me in the right direction guys.

Type in "seo guide" in Google, search, and use one of the ones on the first page.

Twig 08-17-2009 10:06 AM

I guess if you hit first page for keywords involving "seo" it's kinda proven to work, huh?

:thumbsup Google is your friend, learn to use it.

sarcasm off for a sec. read a couple good basic articles to get the fundamentals. study sites that rank well. back engineer them to see how they do it. 99% of what is out there on seo is total bullshit so the only way to truly know what works to do your own experiments.
